HYPERREFLEXIA

Hi Everyone,
Could hyperreflexia affect how you breath, or cause a certain hard sigh/gasp, throughout the day?  I have asked this in other posts before.  I'm trying for a dx, and none of the dr's seem to know what's causing it.  It's like a loud dramatic sigh and gasp in one.  It happens all day.  It seems like it's getting worse.  I did look it up on line, and did find a website for ms that put it under the breathing pulmonary sx of ms.  Do you think it could be part of the sx of hyperreflexia.  I think I did have and ms hug once also.  When I take a shower my water has to be a little warmer than luke warm because I can't ake the hot water.  Outside heat makes me feel like I can't breath.  Could it be related?
Any input would be great!  Thanks  Sandie

I have the same symptom and not sure if it would be due to hyperflexia.  That is a good questions though.  I am not having problems with hyperflexia right now and yet I do have the breathing symptoms.  My lung doctor thinks it is a weak diaphragm that is causing the breathing symptoms, the sighing/gasp, and overall breathing issues.

Do you have any heart or lung issues?  Do you notice if you have a hard time taking a deep breath?

Hope we will hear from others as I know some have the same symptoms.

Julie
