Hi Dear Hearts, I have started my day off on a great note, I am now using my Mom's laptop, I forgot how it feels to be typing rather than texting one key at a time... It is going to be so much easier to stay in touch now, plus I am sitting on the recliner as we speak.. well maybe not actually speaking ;-). I just have to get use to the smaller keyboard.. So as you can tell I have been busy this morning, plus I have the ribsRib cage pain boiling so I can bar-b-que them this eveningEvening primrose Evening primrose oil for Mom and her friends, since I can't eat them ... I get to smellSmell - impaired Stools - foul smelling them and watch them all licking their fingersAmputated finger Amyloidosis on the fingers Clubbed fingers Cryoglobulinemia - of the fingers Finger pain Herpes zoster (shingles) on the hand and fingers Janeway lesion on the finger Kawasaki's disease, peeling of the fingertips Nail abnormalities Replantation of digits Ringworm, tinea manuum on the finger to get the last bit of my sauce....

This doesn't make me very happy, but she has an HMO ... so it's wait and than wait some more, I just think seven months is way to long... but than I am her mom so of course I feel this way.
Poor Shadow doesn't quite know what to think about my working on "OUR RECLINER"... he has lost his lap and can't find the darn thing...LOL
I hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday Week-end, that you all get to enjoy it with your Family & Friends and Please take a few moments to remember Our Men & Women in uniform who are Serving our Country, especially those who are overseas, also all their families who are spending the Holidays with out them...I pray that they all can come home soon...
{{{~!~}}}... I am loving this laptop !!! Happiness !!!
I am thrilled you can use your mom's laptop. Your mom has a laptop? She sounds like a lady way ahead of her time.
My husband came back from a one-year tour in Afghanistan, so this 4th of July will be more meaningful for that reason. We aren't doing too much except a small family BBQ and thnking about going somewhere near Washington DC to watch the "Capital 4th Celebration". I was in a wheelchair last year on the 4th. but thankfully I am walking on my own two feet this year, which will make it easier if we do gdecide to go watch the FW in person.
Tell Shadow that he has to share you lap right now. I'm sure he'll understand, but the poor guy might develop a dislike for the laptop. Take care and love to you and your family.
DJ, God bless you. I'd love to introduce Shadow to Bandit sometime. Could be interesting.
Julie, G-d bless you and yours, as well. Give you husband a salute and a hug from one Buckeye who is thankful for him and his service to this, the greatest nation the earth has ever seen.
Julie please tell your Hubby I am so Thankful for his service for our Country and am so happy he is home this year with you and family. I pray he won't have to go over there again, I'd love for all of them to be able to come home.
Dan, yes my Mom is very hip for some one who will soon be 85, but the reason I brought her laptop doen to my appartment is because she is scared she'll break it. I am hoping she'll use it when she comes down to play with me ;-).. That is my hope anyway....
Now all of you enjoy the 4Th, stay cool and try not to over do too much while having fun...{{{~!~}}}
What is this about SS mom being ahead of her time? My Mom has a laptop also and a MAC. Of course have two sons that were computer design engineers probably made it a sinch that she would be into computers. :) In fact she was using a home computer before any were being sold to the public. It was one my brother and I designed at work and brought home for her to use. That was over 30 years ago and it still runs.
To all of those on the Forum who have served in the Military and to their family members you have also served, I salute you today and everyday, for your service to the greatest Nation on Earth. Because of you and your family's sacrifices, I am FREE today.....
I am a Navy brat myself and the military was good to us, when I was growing up. I saw many places all over this world, that I otherwise would not have had a chance to see. My father was a WWII vet, Vietnam War, and the Korean War vet, so like him I sincerely appreciate all that have served, to keep us free. I'm proud to be an American.
Ditto what Heather said. A great BIG thank you to all those who have served in the Military and their family members so that we can celebrate this day of freedom!
We have another thing in common, my Papa was in the Navy for 30 Years . I loved being a "Navy Brat" and was so proud of him, of course I still am. I lost him to cancer 31years ago and it feels like it was yesterday that we said good-bye. Papa LOVED the Navy....
My Mom is still going strong, she is my "Energizer Bunny" and so cute. Although like most Moms and Daughters we do have our difficult moments.. I tell her every day what a Blessing she is to me and let her know I need her in so many ways. I know this MS Thing is so much harder on our Families,
So did everyone have a fun time yesterday? My day started out so nice, I got Mom's ribs done and Her & her friends seemed to enjoy them. I started having spasms, why not!!! so I ended up not joining them, but that Mom came over and we watched the FW in Washington DC and the ones in NYC. If anyone saw NYC's in person.. They had to be Awesome. Mom & I set here OOHing and Awing the whole show.. SO I can say the Fourth started on a good note and Ended on a wonderful note, So I would say The beginning and the End out weigh the middle of the day, and That is what counts...
My dad was in the Navy, but not career. His ship made it to WWII after the fighting was over, or so the story goes.
My oldest brother was in the Army during the Vietnam era; I was so proud and in awe of him, 15 years my senior. He went on to become a teacher, counselor, nature lover, etc. He talked me into climbing my first mountain when I was 12 years old.
He's 61 and still hiking, kayaking, skiing, (downhill and cross-country), snow-shoeing; who knows what else! He has arthritis, but never lets it stop him.
I'm glad you had such a good day, all things considered. Thank you so much for reminding us all to focus on the good and accept the bad.
Now that we started the Month of July on a "Good Note" Lets do our best to keep it moving in that direction. I hope the Month of July 2009 will be better than June and that August will be better then July, so on & so on,,,
Sending out hugs to all of you...{{{~!~}}}
