Happy July 4th to all

by michelleric, Jul 02, 2009 05:06PM
Just sending out happy American holiday wishes...

Hubby and I are off tomorrow to FL for a family wedding. It is on the beach, so hopefully (knock on wood), I will make it through the heat ok. It will be the 1st time in probably 8 years we will be "kid free". Should be nice and relaxing. I did call the resort ahead of time, and they told me there is a tram that takes you all over the property, to the beach/restaurant/rooms...  Which is good, I am having big troubles with my foot/leg.

See ya next week!

Happy 4th back at ya and to everyone here at medhelp. You all deserve to have a great weekend!

We are having our 9th annual 4th of July party at our house on Saturday. Expecting between 75-100 people or so. We provide the house, the pool, hot tub, fireworks, beer, sloppy joes, etc. and everyone who comes brings a dish. We have the party in our back yard, and everyone brings their own lawn chairs. Out on our back deck we have speakers that surround it and we blare music and have a great ole' time. At about 10PM we have a big fireworks show. It is always a lot of fun!!

OH HOW NICE!!!!!!!!!!

Wishing you and hubby a safe trip. Enjoy every minute with that sand between your toes and the roar of the waves.  It's most always cooler on the beach and you can always catch some shade inbetween! See you when you get back!

Happy 4th of July!

Michelle,
I am so glad you are getting away, even if it is to the heat of florida.  You are overdue for this break - enjoy!

Cheeser, you didn't send us your address.... I'm sure you wouldn't notice a few party crashers!  This sounds like quite the bash.

enjoy and be safe,
Lulu

Happy July 4th - yes from a Brit.

My family and I had the pleasure in 2001 of spending July 4th at a picnic with the local church congregation in the Pastors back garden in Englewood Florida, there was an aircraft hanger for his small plane. Boy can you guys party - lol.

The butcher cooked 300 hamburgers that day and I don't know how many hotdogs - it was amazing.

They thought it was really neat having Brits at their celebrations. My family got to play Volleyball and ride around the 'back garden' on a truck hooked up to a tractor with all the local kids and we all went down to the beach and watched the fireworks that evening.

It's a date that brings back those wonderful memories for all of us.

So enjoy your day.

Love
Pat.

Thanks for the well wishes from up north and across the pond.  We Americans do love a good party - and this 4th of July celebrations are among the best.  Warm weather, good friends, plenty of fireworks and lots of  reasons to reflect on  what is good about this country.  We spend a lot of time focusing on what's broken, but overall this democracy works pretty well.

I'll eat a burger and raise a toast tomorrow for all of you!
