Has anyone used a HFAD Hip flexion assist device?

Hi all. I hope everyone is doing well. Still adjusting to my "new normal"

I have a weak left hip flexor and a numb left foot. Have any of you used a device called HFAD? (Hip flexion assist device)

Also have any of you used magnets for pain or numbness?

I am still doing my PT, aqua therapy and hippo therapy, but thought I would research some additional alternatives.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Gina

I am asking my neuro to write an rx for this device. Once fitted and I actually start using it, I will update the group.

Have a great day.

Thank you for posting.  I see a physiatrist this week and an ms physiotherapist at some point -- my neuro says my bracing is complicated because I have "both distal and proximal weakness" contributing to the foot drop.  I'm guessing he is referring to my weak hip flexors as well.

I will look this up!

Wow, I have never heard of the HFAD before. I think a lot of us have weak hip flexors. I know I do.

Don't have numbness though. I have heard of magnets used for pain before but heard mixed results.

Sounds like you are doing quite a bit already to help yourself.

I must research this device, it sounds neat.
