Headaches

Hi All,
I am a neebie, I was tested with an LP 5 years ago for MS but it was Neg. although I have so many symptoms I still think it is MS.

My question is....  I started with a headache in the upper back of my head over 1 year ago that has never gone away. It is at a dull ache most of the time but there are times I want to cut my head off and I get floaters in my eyes whe it is acting up. Does anyone else have this type of headache???? I hear a lot about Migranes but this is not a Migrane (I have had those before).

Thank you for your time
Pat

Hi. There are so many neurological disorders you might have, and there are a zillion kinds of migraines.

I'm hoping you can get to the bottom of things soon. It is indeed very hard to wait, while your body deteriorates. Please keep posting and let us know how things are going. There's great support here.

I haven't been to a Doctor in almost 2 years...... I lost my job and my insurance and social services turn me down. SSD/SSI just called yesterday, they are sending me to a doctor for an eval. in the next couple of weeks.

Most Migraines cause light sensitivity (don't have) and blindness in one eye (don't have). This is a pressure in the top back of my head that never goes away

When I started having trouble 5 years ago I was sent to an Ortho, Neuro, Internal Medicine Dr.,  Rhematologist, and an Infectious Disease Dr. They did all kind of blood work, X-rays, MRI of back, they tested for celiac's, made me eat something with radiation, and the LP.

One Dr would say it was one thing then the other would say no it's not. My blood work would show RA one week and nothing the next or Thyroid would be messed up and then not. The only thing that has been POS all the way thru is EBV, West Niles, Spinal Stenosis, and they say I have Fibromyalgia.

I spend about 20 hours a day in my bed (I get up for a little while then right back) I have to use an electric chair or sit on a bar stool to cook for my kids. (single parent and my kids have to take care of me).

I have a lot of the MS symptoms and started getting tremors in my right leg and arm a few months ago.

I'M SICK OF NOT KNOWING AND JUST SCARED.

Pat,
Are you sure its not a migraine?  They come in all sorts of varieties you wouldn't associate as migraine.  As I understand it, a migraine is pain that ends in the nerve ending and can occur just about anywhere.

Your LP does not have to be positive for the diagnosis of MS. I assume you also had an mri at that time.

Have you had an MRI recently ?  I would go back and request one now to take another look at what is going on .

feel better,
Lulu
