Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.
But, I haven't been feeling well. I've bean slurring words and staring of into "space" is waht my hubby has been telling me. But I don't even know when I'm doing it! People look at me weird when it happens.

Insurance is taking forever but if this keeps happening I'm going to the ER. I can't take this anymore. Is there a possibility that there is something else going on along with the MS? Like epilepsy? Which is what they originally thought it was
before DX.

Is this possible?

I really don't need this right now.

I'm having enough of a hard time dealing with the MS. Migraines are getting worse along with smelling things that aren't there.
The Depakote I'm on for the migraines doesn't seem to be working anymore at all!

Hubby is stressing out over all of this. So I have tried to lie when he asks how I am feeling but he always knows when I am not telling him the truth. I worry the stress is going to cause another heart attack on him.

I feel like crying or I feel like punching the wall when this stuff happens. Its getting worse and the MS feels like it is progressing fast.

Thanks quix for your concern.
Sorry for not posting something happy and up lifting.

You don't have to be happy and uplifting to post, girlfriend.  Cry, scream, throw things...but not anything expensive, rant...do anything you want to make yourself feel better.  The most important thing to do is post and share your feelings with others.  This helps you more than you know.  Talking to people that understand.

Could there be something else besides MS going on?  Sure there can be.  But don't worry yourself silly about things that have yet to be diagnosed.  Whatever it is and turns out to be, you WILL handle it.  Then there is us...you have us to lean on.

We will get through this together.  Patience honey.  Patience.  That's the key.  No matter how hard that is to hear.  We are concerned, all of us...so throw some of that worry our way...we'll share it.

Big HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSs,
Heather

Bless your heart honey.  I'm so sorry this is happening.  I have seizures along with the MS.  Like you, after I have had a seizure I will spend 30 min. or so staring off into never land.

I'll pray that your doctors don't drag their feet and get down to finding out what's wrong with you.  If your insurance keep doing like they are then I would go to the ER too.

Please don't cry and remember that me and everyone else is right here for you.  We will be by your side no matter what.

I'll be praying,
Carol

Hi Kathy,

Sorry to hear that your are feeling so bad and that your insurance is not running as fast as it should be, but you know God is always there for you and so are we.  Don't give us hope.

I have a question, do you take Depakote for epilepsy or for migraines.  The reason is ask is because if it is for migraine you may ask you pcp about Topamax which is an  anti seizure medication but it is also used for migraines.

I think young at heart is right, it may be time to go to the ER and call your Neuro.

Remember we are a message away.  Hope you feel better really soon and please let us know how you feel.

To answer your question I take the Depakote for both seizures and the migraines. Topamax has too many side effects to take in combination with the depakote and dilantin at this point and time for me.

I am sorry you are still feeling bad after so many days.  I do think that is about time to call your doctor and/or go to the ER.  Not to scare you, but about a year ago, I had similar symptoms and I was treated at home for 5 days with steoids and after that I was OK.  It was so bad before treatment that I was even lost in the house that I have lived for 20 years.

Do not loose your faith and please call your doctor.  I do not take Topamax anymore because of its side effects, I almost developed anorexia.

Remember we are a message away!!!! God bless you.
