Hello again---almost recovered

Well, I'm getting better from my broken ankle caper. Man, will I be glad to get rid of the wheelchair, walker and potty apparatus after all these weeks.

The cast comes off Monday the 17th. Whoopee! I don't know how ambulatory I will be then, probably not very, but at least it's something.

I've gone through quite a few ordeals throughout this, including a UTI finally diagnosed and treated, and a horrible med reaction that caused me to erp my lunch all over my laptop. That's still back at Best Buy and they're not telling me the prognosis.

When I've been able to I've looked at the forum and seen lots of newcomers as well as many old friends. MS just seems to go on forever, no?

Wishing you all a pleasant and pain-free week. More soon.

Ess,

Great to hear from you, how exciting you get your cast off on the 17th, I am sure there will be more physical therapy before you will be back to normal but it is great that you are coming along.

Take Care,
Paula

Yay!  Glad you're recovering, and sorry to hear about your laptop.  You need one of those erp-proof laptops.

Ess,

I'm glad your cast is finally coming off. I'm pretty sure you'll have physical therapy after it comes off so you can get full function back quickly.

Ditto what Alex said, no re-reuns of lunch ON the keyboard.

Make sure you take your time and exercise patience in your recovery.

With wishes for a smooth end to this ordeal,

Ren

Just do not drink Champaigne and dance around when the cast comes off. I do not hear about a rerun. This has been an awful experience!

Polly says arg!

By the way she started a book. I am ghost writing it and illustrating it for her.

So good to hear from you Ess and glad that your journey to recovery is progressing in the right direction. You will have to take it really easy when you get more mobile and be really careful not to incur other injuries when walking where you compensate on the other side for weak ankle..you do not want to put a hip out!!

Take care and look after yourself or let others continue to do so..you will get really tired when back on feet.

Much love

Good to hear from you Ess.  I've wondered how you were doing often and hoped you were putting all your efforts into healing.  We'll be here when you have the time, energy and equipment to join us.  Until then, we are with you in thought.

P.S.  Do you think Best Buy takes trade-ins of used durable medical equipment for computers?
