Help with MRI report

Hello, can anyone explain to me what my following MRI repor means. I do understand it has having no lessions but I don't understand any of the other things. Any input would be great!

There is mild reversal of the normal lordotic curvature, but no acute
compression deformity. There is some minimal loss of signal within the disc
spaces from C2-C3 through C5-C6.

The visualized portions of the spinal cord are normal in size and signal. The
cervicomedullary junction is preserved.

C2-C3, C3-C4: Unremarkable.

C4-C5: Mild degenerative endplate changes with some impression upon the thecal
sac and partial effacement of the CSF space. No cord deformity or neural
foraminal stenosis.

C5-C6: Left paracentral disc protrusion with uncovertebral hypertrophy and
degenerative endplate changes. This is causing mild narrowing of the left
aspect of the spinal canal. There is flattening of the left aspect of the
spinal cord. There is mild encroachment upon the neural foramina bilaterally,
left side greater than right.

C6-C7: Some mild ligamentum flavum thickening with some degenerative endplate
changes causing some mild impression upon the thecal sac but no cord deformity
or neural foraminal narrowing.

C7-T1: Unremarkable.

IMPRESSION:

1. Mild degenerative changes, most significant at C5-C6. There is a left
paracentral disc protrusion with uncovertebral hypertrophy and degenerative
endplate changes. This is causing narrowing of the spinal canal and flattening
of the left ventral aspect of the cord. There is some mild bilateral neural
foraminal narrowing.

2. No abnormal signal within the cord to suggest a demyelinating process.

It means that the bones of the spine have some regular degenerative changes that are typical for your age.  One of the degenerative areas is just adjacent to the center of the spine where a disc is protruding a bit in the spinal canal where the spinal cord lives.

Was this ordered by a ortho guy?
