sorry you are anxious i was too, i had them cover my eyes which helped i think, i dont know what you can do before handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor but for me i am able to meditate and found that the sounds from the machine were actually quite rythmic so i just stated breathing slowly and deeply that's what helped me, i hope it goes ok for you im not sure what else to say, someone told me you could bring music in with you so maybe that would help too,
So for me I do everything I can to not think about it before hand. Then once there I have them turn up the air, put on the music, and I close my eyes and keep them closed before I go in. Then I use imagery to keep my mind off being in the tube. I do not open my eyes. It also helps me to look in the machine before I get on the bed. That way I see the both ends are open and I don't feel so trapped.
Also if you like to read take a book with you to read while you wait. It will keep your mind busy and the anxiety will not have a chance to build.
Thank you for the good thoughts. I was not offered music options last time (before I have been) so i will ask. I know this machine is totally enclosed except for the feet so I will keep my eyes closed and go to a happy place :)
I am heading out the door. Will post how it went.
good luck
See if it may work for you.
Good luck,
Zulma
