Helloooooooo inquiring minds want to know - any fish to be had or what???

Well there were some fish but they were few and far between for us!

We didn't take our boat because we are not set up to carry it with the new trailer yet so we only had the pontoons and while they are fun they are not so much fun when it's windy!  Hubby is calling me Gilligan now though...he made up an anchor for me with a steel ball on the end of a rope and I really needed an anchor!  Everytime I would row as far as I could up the shore and catch a fish...by the time I would bring the fish in, get it off the hook, revive it, release it and look up...lo and behold the wind had pushed me back to where I started!  So, I decided to row back up the shore and lower my anchor...well hubby never mentioned that I should be careful with the rope attached to the anchor because the anchor is HEAVY!  Stupid me let down the anchor and got the rope wrapped around the ankle of my boot and if I hadn't been strapped in I would have gone down with the anchor...Not down with the ship!  Hubby thought it was hilarious but my nerves were shot!

Anyway, no one was catching very much and I think it was because the fish were still sluggish as the ice had just come off the lake and boy was that water COLD!!! Brrrr!  The ones we did catch were pretty tasty though because of the cold!  So really the only things biting were the mosquito's and the noseeums and they are worse than mosquito's for me...they seem to love to bite me and I certainly had my share of bites whereas hubby was attacked by the mosquito's!  I told him that they don't like the taste of all the meds I am on! tee hee

So no real bigs ones that got away this time but I am sure I will have more to tell next time...no wait...well it's not really a fish story but...we went to this new casino that the Indians built on the highway on the way in and boy did they steal my bait!  I lost $20.00 in less than 5 minutes!  We left and went moose hunting instead...didn't bag any moose but didn't lose any more money either!  Won't be going back to that Casino anymore that's for sure!  Well I am sure a few more stories will come back to my head slowly but it only comes a little at a time so I will tell more as it comes ok?
