Teva is testing Copaxone at twice the current level. The results ore given relative to placebo. Nothing is said about results relative to current dose.

Last time my injection training nurse was over, she mentioned this trial to me. I feel very ambivalent about it, since I would LOVE to inject less often, but I think going off my daily schedule might lead me to forget to inject once in a while... I'm obsessed with compliance.

Also, I feel like 20mg is already a lot of fluid to inject and would be concerned that injecting double the fluid might increase the risk of lipoatrophy (I have no evidence to support that concern - it's just a theory born of fear).

The new trial will raise the level from 20mg every day to 40 mg 3x per week. I am very excited to think about not needing daily injections any more! I just hope is just as safe :)

I'm not sure what the current frequency is, but in this trial it was 3 times/week.

They also are testing or have just completed trials on an every other day injection, which I know would be a welcome change, too.
