How many were dx'd with MS with a negative Lumbar Puncture?

I was wondering how many of you had a negative LP. My latest neuro says my lp came back ok although I haven't seen the report myself yet. I have a friend that was finally dx'd (after 12 yrs) with PPMS & she also had a neg. lp. I'm also taling your responses with me to my next appt. with my PCP. thanks!!!!

My LP was negative for O-bands, protein, etc. Wasn't dx until I couldn't lift my left leg to put it in the car- 14 months post LP.

I was diagnosed with a negative LP.  My diagnosis was made with a careful history and physical/neuro exam, and an MRI of my brain that showed lots of old lesions, and nothing that lit up with GD.

There was no need for me to have an LP, with my sx and lesions, The Neuro felt that it was not warranted.  Had an EVP that came back negative.

I was dx with MS based upon history and a suggestive MRI.  Had an LP when I insisted on it. (trying to disprove dx)   It was negative.

I was Dx based on MRI lesions and Neuro exams... symptoms got worse over time.. my LP was neg.
