I am finally back to MS Normal

I am finally back to MS Normal

I am so happy. I am back to my old/new self.

I came up with my own game plan for the gut. I am eating small meals all day long. Following a stricter diet than I used to. I am taking probiotics and fiber pills. It takes more time and work.

I realized if I followed my Doctors recommendations I would end up in the hospital with malnutrition. I guess they just were not thinking about how long it had gone on.

Used what I know about bringing a sick animal up to speed as well looking on the internet for people with gut problems.

My higher power does have a sense of humor. Guess who got poison ivy! I figure it should break out over the week end. I already have the Urgent Care picked out for the Steroid shot. I am by passing my PCP all together. I loved calling and explaining my eyes are swollen shut and being told that is okay you do not actually get it in your eyes by the doctor and her saying just get some calamine lotion.

Why can't I be a dog and get to go to a Veterinarian?

Hope everyone has a good week and week end.

Alex

Oh Alex, I am so happy to hear this!!!!!

Finally you came up with your own game plan that is "working" for you!  W00t!!!!!!!!

(Sings) "Poison Eye Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, Poison Eye Veeeeeeeeeeeeeee" :D

You go girl!  I think you should roll in a bunch of poison sumac too!  Why not!

Make you look purty!

If you turned into a "woof woof" and got to go to the Vets, what do you possibly think would you benefit from it? Hehe.  Better care? LOL!

I hope you have a great week, keep up your game plan and I'll pray that if you do get poison ivy, it wont break out too much.  Just make sure you wash those clothes you wore, sneakers you wore, socks, flip flops or whatever.  It's that darn urushiol oil that can spread if it is still on clothes and shoes/shoelaces!

So glad you are feeling better gut-wise but ICK on the poison ivy!  Hope it stays out of your eyes and is a very minor hit.

Be well!

Hi Alex,

I dont know much about poison ivy though it doesn't take Einstien to work out that swollen eyes is an allergic reaction that needs medical attention to determine 1. the severity and 2 the appropriate medical treatment. I dont recall 'dont worry' as being appropriate medical treatment for any allergic reaction, serious or otherwise!

As for the 'dont eat' medical treatment you've been getting so far from this cracker box medical establishment, words just dont cover what i'm thinking!!

Alex please please find a doctor that cares enough about you as we do!

HUGS................JJ

Alex, I am on the same routine as you.  It seems steroids have finally won the battle.  Where I go from here, I don't know.  How long will it take to heal?  Gee, wish I could read the future.

I am happy you are feeling better.

Thanks all I feel silly telling you my woes but I am glad for the support.

Debs Grady found an old vine from last years patch. he got it on his fur and I came in contact with the oil on his fur. I washed myself well.
