I have a Hormonal Question

I know that when you are pregnant your MS symptoms usually subside because of having the hormones, but what about if a woman has a hysterectomy, taking everything out, leaving that woman with having to take HRT. If she doesn't get enough hormones, can that help bring out MS?

Just a thought I had running thru my mind, along with everything else.  I see the Neuro on Tuesday, and I thought about asking him this question but I feel silly.

Hi!  I think the answer to yur question (because I wondered it also, therefore it CAN'T be silly, right?) is No.  Remember that the majority of people who get MS are young women still producing their full amount of endogenous estrogen.  I also had a hysto and both ovaries when I was 41.  I stopped the estrogen supplements abut 6 months before my first symptoms of MS and I know they have researched using Estriol as an adjunctive therapy in treating MS.  But, I believe the events were unrelated for the first reason I gave.  I have wondered, tho about going back on the supplements to see if the symptoms were helped.

I had a hysterectomy and ovaries removed because of endometriosis thirty years ago at age 35.  I was placed on Premarin.  About twenty years ago, I started developing weakness and numbness in rt. leg and hip.  I became more and more ill over the next couple years, had to use crutches, looked like somebody on chemotherapy.  I was unable to work.  MRI's were negative, but MS was suspected.  

We went to our cabin for a few days, about 15 years ago, and I forgot to take my Premarin with me.  After a couple days, I began to feel remarkably better.  I had more energy and my legs were stronger.  My neurologist said to stop the Premarin, although he thought there was no relationship.  I began using the crutches less, then not at all.  The burning sensation around my waist and right hip went away.  I started looking better and feeling much better in gerneral.  I still have weakness in my leg, but I'm still walking. with an APO for foot drop, but without crutches.  About 5 years ago, an MRI showed a couple spinal lesions suggestive of MS, and primary progressive MS was diagnosed.  I find I cannot use any form of estrogen, even cream, without a significant flare up of my MS symptoms.  My theory, there are estrogen receptors in the central nervous system, the extended period on Premarin triggered an auto immune response that affected my nervous system.  I would take HRT in the lowest dose possible, and for the shortest time possible, if at all.

I have low of LH hormone and I think normal of tsh,T3,estordial and thr fsh in the just 3.9 and in the lab avarge for fsh start from 3.9 too
by the way I took all blood tests in the third day of my period

You sound like me. I am on my way to Mayo clinic for a diagnosis which at his point I think is MS after dealing with 8 doctores for 6 months with no diagnosis.  I had a complete hysterectomy 22 years ago.  I take Estrdiol as a patch  and wondered what connections there are... So far no answers so far...
I am hoping the Mayo Clinic will help diagnose me and tell me the  hormone connection. I answered your comment because what you described is so similar... unbelievable....
