Did your docs relate the residual pain in Your tailbone to your MS?  I hurt my shoulder at work in June of 08 and although all tests show nothing abnormal in the shoulder, the pain WILL NOT go away.  I am still waiting to see if work comp is going to accept it, or say my MS (diagnosed yesterday) caused it.
Anyway just wondering if the pain is still there due to MS or my lack of PT?
Didn't know if you had talked to a doc about your tailbone.

I fell down the stairs, smack on my tailbone 5 years ago and it still hurts when I sit for long periods.  Was told it may never fully recover.  Not much you can do but treat with painkillers (ie: Tylenol 3) till it becomes more bearable.  Also, avoid putting pressure on it by not sitting too long, and when you do sit, try one of those cushions with a hole where your tailbone rests, so your weight is taken off of it.
I am curious as to why you posted your question in this particular forum; do you have MS?  Did that have anything to do with your fall?
You might also get some useful information by posting your question in the Back and Neck and/or Orthopedics community forums also on Medhelp.
