MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS COMMUNITY
I survived the sleep study

I survived the sleep study

...and you were all right, I didn't get much sleep! The nurse suspects Restless leg (which Im not surprised), Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and she came in half way through the night and put the apnea mask on me.  I guess that could explain why I can barely stay awake!!! Is it possible, really, to have all three? At one point she came over the speaker and asked if I was OK because my legs were going nuts! literally.  They had a mind of their own.  I told her I just couldn't sleep and she said I had been sleeping. LOL.

Now if we can just get any of those things to explain the twitching, the muscle jerks, the tingling and the other issues I'll be in good shape. (Right!) But hey, gotta start somewhere. And starting with getting some sleep sounds like a good idea to me!

Happy Wednesday!
Heather

Heather, so glad you survived..its not exactly a fun test if you don't sleep.  I know i dont have RLS right now but i do have the other movements, but I am not aware of them unless I pay attention.

Let us know what comes out of it..

get some sleep..

hugs, meg

Glad you got answers!  Yes, I think it can be all three!  The main thing is the apnea- now you can get the help you need to sleep better at night!!  Remember the Resmed Mirage Liberty mask - it's terrific! (if you have the right face shape for it).

During my sleep study, I think one leg moved once - that's it!!  I am immobile at night - often waking up in the same position I went to sleep in - because I'm just too tired to even move!!!  Just don't have the energy!!  My keyword is "inertia."
