I'M GETTIN' IT PULLED...FINALLY!!!

I'M GETTIN' IT PULLED...FINALLY!!!

Well I am finally getting that tooth that had the failed root canal pulled today at 3:30.  I am NOT looking forward to it as when I had my wisdom teeth pulled they put me under so I have no idea what to expect this time.

My hubby is going to be there to hold my hand though so I think we should all have a little parting ceremony for the loss of my husband's hand...don't you think?  I told him that things will never be the same after today....for him....being that he will only have one useable hand from now on!  ha ha

Seriously though...I have got a serious ice pick pain in my head this morning and my Mom says that maybe it's all the tooth's fault...maybe once you get rid of it all your other problems will go away too?

Sure Mom and if I quit watching TV all my bad thoughts about neurologists will go away too...NOT!!!

Anyway, wish me luck and I could be away for hmmm...lets see...a couple of hours maybe??? tee hee

Hugs,

Rena

Wishing you well on your tooth extraction and farewell of your husbands hand.
Are you going to an actual dentist or a ... "chain" ?  *smirk*
I've had teeth pulled and really it's usually not a big deal at all. You'll be fine!

BEST WISHES TODAY,FOR YOU AND HUBBY'S HAND.

I HAD 2 MOLARS EXTRACTED LAST THURSDAY AND THE DENTIST WAS AWESOME,IT NEVER HURT NOR DID I HAVE MUCH RESIDUAL PAIN AFTERWARDS.

MY DENTIST HAD ME NUMB,BOTH TEETH OUT AND I WAS OUT OF HIS OFFICE IN 17 MINUTES.NO KIDDING.

THESE ARE THE TYPE OF APPOINTMENTS I LIKE WHEN THE DR RUSHES.(LOL)

HOPE ALL GOES WELL

I've been through the exact same thing. It's actually a relief to get the stupid tooth out after all the pain and trouble it's caused. I never even got a replacement (it's a hidden molar), and I've frankly never missed the thing. I was awake for the whole thing--it didn't seem that bad to me, and certainly no worse than the three attempted root canals they did on the thing.

Follow all of their instructions about keeping it clean so that there is no infection--that's where the pain can come in. Ask about whether or not they can put a little skin flap over where it was because that can help.

Piece of Cake!  It was hilarious cause my dentist (who is awesome by the way) had his bluetooth phone on his ear and it rang as he was halfway through pulling and I said to him "that better be your wife and she better be giving birth!"

What a laugh we had!

My dentist is also learning about accupuncture and he wants to set me up for a accupuncture treatment...will tell you in another post ok?

Anyway, I never imagined that having a tooth pulled could be so easy!  And hubby's hand is just fine!

Lots of Hugs

Wondered when the pain would kick in. I hope it isn't too long lasting. Good thing it waited till you got home or poor DH would have a really sore hand.lol
