Thanks for the welcome nods.  Sorry it's taken me so long to click on up here and acknowledge your good wishes.  I confess I've been avoiding the pushpin topic at the top of the page. It just seems so bazaar to see my name in this blooming context.    (What was I thinking?)

My comfort zone resembles a bee buzzing around in a random fashion, pausing here and there to sample the nectar of our wonderful community.  I guess that's what I'll keep doing if that's what works.  Just let me know if you need something different.

Thanks for the reminder that this is all about sharing the journey with friends I already know and new ones who are about to round the corner.

I am so thrilled to hear you accepted being a part of the CL team.  You've been around here a long time and know probably everyone, so you were a super good choice.  Thanks for taking on the responsibility and I know you'll do a great job.

My best.

I am thrilled to see this pushpin!  Welcome aboard!  We want you to continue to flit around and help us welcome the newbies.  This is such a vibrant, growing and large group that we need six leaders to help maintain the intimacy.

You're a great addition.

With you knowledge, sense of humor, and compassion you are a great choice. Grady parading around with streamers. Oh really a roll of toilet paper.

Thanks once again for your support and well wishes.  Ya'll sure know how to give confidence a boost.

I hope those of you celebrating today's very special USA holiday are finding ways to have a fun week-end without getting too bothered by summer heat and humidity.  When so many holiday observations have been transplanted to Mondays they start feeling like faux festivities.  It's extra nice when the Fourth of July (Independence Day) lands naturally in a spot that provides an authentic three-day weekend.

For those of you around the globe and in the forum's community embrace with no official celebration on today's calendar,  I hope your Monday plunge into the week ahead comes with renewed energy and a plan for your nation's next scheduled play day.

Sorry to say, I got suckered into covering the work scene this entire long weekend.  My picnic consisted of grabbing a pre-cooked hamburger from a co-worker's crock pot donation and topping it with a festive fresh tomato.  I contributed abundant gratitude but left clean-up chores behind so I could clock out and head home as I ate. (My first successful multi-task in a while!)  I'm hoping to avoid any firework displays as those I see at work are more likely to be sparked by impatience than joy of independence.

I'm tired, tired, tired heading back to my post today.  I tried to join in here before bed last night but it was clear I wasn't having wonderful cognitive moments so had to close up the brain shop.  I look forward to jumping back in here tomorrow and catching up.

Have a wonderful day all.
Mary
