MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS COMMUNITY
Is this MS?

Is this MS?

I haver a positive Romberg's sign, Hoffman's sign, Babinski's sign, clonus, hyperflexia, absent superficial adnominal reflexes, slight abnormalities on an EP and findings of "three tiny foci of increased T2 intensity" on a brain MRI. These signs accompany weakness, numbness, tight muscles, fatigue, loss of sensation, odd sensations, nerve pain, loss of balance, and L'hemitte's sign that flair up from time to time then go away but never improve 100%. Could this be MS?

Hi and welcome to our little corner of the web, if you haven't done so already, please take the time to read our health pages, top right of your screen, the yellow icon. I'm sure you will find many things of interest, I highly recommend you take some time to have a read.

Unfortunately, " Romberg's sign, Hoffman's sign, Babinski's sign, clonus, hyperflexia" are all highly suggestive of MS, but having said that there are quite a few diseases that mimic MS and because MS is a diagnosis of exclusion it may take some time to get the correct dx.

Do you by any chance know where those lesions are, there location can often aid the dx more towards MS than a mimic. The other thing is some of your sx suggest possible spinal involvement, have you had a full spinal MRI done as well as your brain or any other tests yet?

Welcome..............JJ
