Mon - we had a small little picnic in a park.
Tues - received an award letter from social security saying I'm approved for disability after only applying a month ago.
Wed had the same spots frozen off my scalp again that keep coming back -said if they come back again, will biopsy it for squamous cell.
Thurs - had my PTSD counseling & also met with a roofing estimator for hail damage.
Today - it's been 2 wks since my endoscopic ultrasound found two 3x2cm lymph nodes next to the main blood supply that goes into my liver (over 4x's as large as they should be - normal size is 6-7mm for these). Still waiting on the cytology report to see if it's more cancer. :-(
Tomorrow we're heading north for a 1yr old's b-day party in a park.
Oldest child to grade 3
Middle child to kindergarten
Youngest home with daddy
Daddy recouping surgery :(
Me... Numb and wobbly :/ takin care of business in this crazy fun house of mine :)
It is a good week to have a bad week ! The good shall out weigh the bad... How can I complain about my wobbling feet when I have a beaming 5 year old telling me how awesome her day was?
I will read everyone else tomorrow and reply I seen some good stuff up there as I scrolled :)
This week is always difficult as my friends return to their classrooms for another school year. It reminds me of a teaching career that was ripped from me by the student who assaulted me by throwing me head first into a brick wall. This appears to be the trigger to my MS.
I try not to be as angry as previous years. It does, however nag at my emotions. I am still letting go.
This fills my week.
Most sincerely,
Beth
Corrie, we'll pray for the best outcome.
I'll guess there's a cart or something that would carry that monitor, etc. We have to adapt, right?
Congrats on 11 years, Cubbie! Although my one year anniversary was June 8th, we are celebrating this week in Disney. The wife has never been. We figured we had to go once before kids because after that it's all about them. ; )
Good luck Corrie and don't like anything discourage you! The things you stated could be attributed to a multitude of things! I will keep you in my thoughts for tomorrow! :)
Hi all! No appointments for me but I have a job interview tomorrow. I really want out of my current job but there are so many appointments and since I would be luggin my massive computer monitor and enlarging software if I get it, then the cat is pretty much out of the bag for the MS so I'm kind of torn.
I hope everyone has an awesome week,
Corrie
Heh Lulu, thxs again.... for this kind of post.
I had a lovely sunny labor day with my hubby. Went to our son's for dinner with all the family, it was really nice.
This morning, seemed to be a bit of a blur though... LOL .... I had to make appts for my little Shylo ( my miniature schnauzer) , she has to have most of her front teeth removed, and I had to make all the appts. for that. Have to get her antibiotics and get her on them before the surgery. It is horrible to think of her in that operating room, but , somehow, doesn't hit me the same when it is ME !!!
Well, my turn is coming up again, and had a call from my surgeon's office, and the information is coming today, and I have to do a pre-op this week , because next week I will be dealing with my dog.
Have to get everything in order, had to call my other surgeon and had to switch around Dr's appts, for my 6 week checkup after my last surgery. My 2 week one is coming up on Friday... LOL ...... ( I'm tired already)
Hoping to be able to have some time to stop and adjust to all the changes that are going on in our lives.
I did and will continue this week to , to get my garden cleaned up, and try and enjoy the sun still on my back, and the warm breeze on my face,., and I wish the same for you all.
Alex, I'm knitting too, especially easy things, but I agree with the time passing with all the hospital stuff.
((HUGS)) to all,
Candy
Gearing up for the MS 150 this week end. It is my favorite event of the year. My husband will ride his bike and I will volunteer and see lots of friends.
Tonight Grady and I have obedience Class.
I am taking up knitting something I can do all these hours at the hospital.
Alex
correction, I had surgery in April..
"Might wind up redoing way more of the plumbing than we'd ever planned -- or budgeted, of course."
Peeling the onion! Each layer you peel can reveal all kinds of "fun". :-) As to contrast and MRI, if I remember incorrectly they will do all 3 without contrast and the all three with.
My week is short and uneventful. I'm glad of both :-)

Lizzie, eleven years is a good start. We will pray that's doubled, and the result then tripled. Congratulations, & best wishes.
Work today, Cleveland Clinic tomorrow, work Thursday. Meanwhile, trying to finish big bathroom refurbishment project that we began after church. So far, each step has gotten worse; Murphy is working overtime, including on Labor Day. Might wind up redoing way more of the plumbing than we'd ever planned -- or budgeted, of course. If anyone says something to you like, "I just love old houses, don't you?", slap them. Hard. Then slap them again.
I will have thoracic and cervical spine MRI's, along with another brain MRI, each with and without contrast, I am told. (Question: How quickly does gadolinium clear? Will I have to wait after one to do the other? I guess I can ask the techs tomorrow morning.) At least I won't have to worry about this facility knowing what an MS protocol is supposed to look like; the plan is that this will be done on the Mellen Center's equipment, rather than being shuttled over to the main hospital.
Meeting Dr. young neuro in the afternoon to go over results. He said he expects spinal lesions, based on described symptoms. If he finds them, dx is expected.
Heaven knows what will happen if this all shows negative. He said at our first meeting that we could then tackle symptomatic issues, possibly adding more drugs. Gee, what fun.
Since I'll be on my way back from Cleveland, Nancy will handle church duties Wednesday evening. Oh, did I mention that both of our vehicles need a variety of repairs?
Well, we pray that the remainder of the week is more blessed than ever for everyone who frequents this place. Well, we know it's off to a great start with Dr. Quizzles rejoining us. Hey, Q!!! Welcome back!!!
This Thursday I call the MS Nurse so she can request my six month MRI, some how she knows the magic word with my insurance company and she get the approval in 48 hours or less. when they call with approval I will have the MRI in next two to three weeks, then the follow up visit with the Dr Oct 11.
I do know the Dr wants to have my cervical spine done again also, since I have two lesion there.
My question tho is, I've had so many scans, why should I have contrast, if the disease is active or not it will show.
Whats the point of having contrast after all these years?
I go in for new fit for my Cpap I've been having problems with the nasal pillows. I need a mask..
Follow up wellness visit with my surgeon from rotator cuff surgery back in July.. For once a surgery that has gone and rehab also..
take care
JB
Busy getting back into the swing of school. (No Labour Day in Ireland)
Also realised that with Monday's injection, I only have 13 more of the weekly intra-muscular injections to go. Starting in December, I'm on the study's extension (= no more blinding with placebo) and will only be stabbing myself once a month! Huzzah!
And delighted that Quix is back!
Well ... Monday is not the best time of the week, isn't it? :-) For you, having a bank holiday might be a good Monday though :-)
For me Monday is just another beginning of the week. Go to work, back home ... and so on so forth till weekends, when I have the best time of my life, when I recharge my batteries for the whole week. I go weekly, on Saturdays to a farm where me and my daughter are horse riding :-). One of the best experience can one have in this life ...
Have a peaceful week!
The only thing planned this week is an appointment with OT tomorrow. She has a bunch of goodies she ordered for me, but I don't remember what they were. :)
Dennis
finally some "down" time here, way too hot and spending much time on the daybed with muscle spasms, but other than Urgent Care tomorrow morning for my suspected UTI, a calm week.........
Lizzie, congrats and many more anniversaries
Laura, that exercise sounds great, but walking to the mailbox and back puts me on the couch! Guess that's a very slow exercise!
Everyone have a good week and try to stay cool if you are in the South.
PS Best wishes and kudos on the exercise regiment!
Hi Laura!
Its been a few weeks since I have seen you around! I hope life is treating you well!
Now that my busiest month at work is behind me, I am hoping I can once again breath! Three days off is good for the soul!
Thurs is my BG's 6 month checkup and Fri is my 6mo MRI. Otherwise my hubby and I will celebrate or 11th wedding anniversary this weekend :)
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Lizzie
