Just a Vent

The only thing I hate about chemo is steroids. Well the nausea too. I hate feeling wired after the infusion and then the orals for a week.

It's so good to read you are not doing this path alone and your husband and friends form a great support network for you.  You have many more walks left to do - . hugs, laura

I did the Ovarian Cancer walk today. I took Grady my Service Dog is training. He did well. I was nauseated but I completed the walk. Two of my MS buddies were there so I walked with them. We were volunteering at the MS Bike event last week end. They had a dinner tent just for survivors so that was nice. My Doctors gave a good talk about Ovarian Cancer which helped my husband understand it better. He stood at the finish line like I stood at the Bike finish line last week end.

golly Alex, wish you could feel better; my steroids work better for staying awake than the speed (adderall) did!  But he only lets me stay on them for 5 days for nausea from the Tysabri, since my stomach muscles spasm very easily.

I take my infusions at the cancer center so get to interact with the cancer patients, when I am not sleeping thru it.

Hoping you feel better!!  Diesel sends hugs

Ugh, I have never had steroids or chemo but have heard some very awful stories.

I hope you can get some non medication induced sleep soon!

I have only taken steroids once. My girlfriend says I acted like I was on speed :-)

Hope it fades quickly!

I can only imagine how horrible it must be.

My doc put me on a med that caused some horrible side effects but since he was trying to treat me for an illness that I don't have, I was able to stop the med and return to normal (as normal as I can be anyway).  Chemo is probably not something that you can just stop when you don't like the side effects.

I'm sorry you have to go through this.  I hope they can heal you so that you'll start feeling better.

Laura
