Just a rant, but a good one..

I am just so sick of feeling like crap, its hard to stay positive, even for me.

I am trying to get ready for my trip and I can't even get motivated.  I don't follow thru with my plans.

Its all in the head, its so foggy, and dizzy and the headaches.  Actually the vicodin helps, it seems to clear things up too.

So maybe its the headache that is doing a lot of it or just adds to it.  I feel like I have bad allergies too.  I try not to take the vicodin every day.

I don't want to feel like this on my trip....if I ever get there.  I will go no matter what, its already paid for by my friend, and i want to go !

thanks for listening...

hugs, meg

PS...if you have some really good advice, I will definitely try it !!

Me too Meg!  It makes me angry that the one thing that is suppose to help slow MS down is slowing ME down.

Well I know the MS is slowing me down too but those DMDs are totally crummy.

I have been on Avonex and Betaseron.  I am so sick of this.  So TIRED.  I just want to sleep.

I don't have migraines and I am so sorry to hear you and Deb do.  I know they are awful.

You have the right to rant!  This forum is a perfect outlet for this!

I do notice I get very depressd with migraine headaches.  I don't know if this is what you have, but you should have the cause of your headaches investigated after you get back from your trip.  My neurologists says that migraines can cause some serious problems.  I remember when I was having them daily and I was practically suicidal.  I've never taken Vicoden for a headache.  If the cause of your headaches is a migraine, there are many, many better options to prevent and treat them.

What finally turned things around for me on the migraine issue was a trip to the ER (many years ago).  My doctor decided I needed to get treatment and have the cause of these investigated.  It turned out to be migraine.

If it's a migraine, if found that Excedrin Migraine helped.  You don't want to do any over the counter medicine long-term like this because you develop "rebound" headaches, but this is a better solution than Vicoden.  When you get back from your trip, you can deal see your doctor.  There's also a mixture of vitamins that I've found effective in helping prevent them.  Additionally, migraines actually respond to caffeine ironically (the very thing that was making my headaches--rebound issue).

It could be sinus related, but migraines are common in people with MS.  Plus, the Excedrin Migraine is probably a safer way to deal with headaches than the Vicoden.
