Kids - don't try this at home!

Okay, I know sometimes we test our bodies to see what they are doing or how they respond to certain stimuli...

Well, tonight, I decided to try one of these tests by accident.

The pads of my feet, especially my left one, have been numb for several months.

So, you are asking yourself "what test protocol did he select", "will the results be repeatable?"

If you are squeamish, now would be a good time to avert your gaze!

Tonight, stumbling barefoot through the dark bonus room on the way to my laptop, the coldness of the wood floor against my feet, I had a chance encounter with a...   dare I say it...    a......

LEGO piece!

This little hunk of plastic is the sharpest object known to man, sharper than a laser, sharper than a ginsu knife (have your credit cards ready) and even sharper than the wittiest remark that you come up with 10 minutes AFTER leaving the party!

Needless to say, that the pad of my left foot is only numb ON THE SURFACE!!!!

OH, NO!!!  NOT THE DREADED  ..........   LEGO!!!!!

Where do we send the flowers.  Richard, not even Tysabri will help this problem.

Did you let the child live?

Richard,
I am laughing because I guessed the punchline before I had scrolled far enough to read the name of the weapon of mass destruction.  The number of times I stepped on Legos barefooted are too numerous to count - hey, maybe that's the cause of my MS?

My only consolation to you is my Lego owner is now 33 years old and has his daughter's LEGO's underfoot now ... remember when your mom always said "wait 'til you grow up and have children of your own" ...  she meant it and so did I!

Heal soon, Lulu

I am counting on them to take care of me when I get older.

Thus, I blamed it on the cat!

Chewy is still trying to find out why I had all of his claws removed!

I am going to heal, but alas, the cat has a long row to hoe.

My mom did utter those same words and it is a shame that only her body is here to witness these types of events.   Alzheimer's claimed the real her several years ago.

I have to say I did something worse! I had to replace the mat that goes under my chair in front of my computer. While moving it, I noticed all of those little pegs on it left pinhole marks in my carpet. So I put it in my frontroom face up, as I had just vacuumed, and didn't want all of the little marks again before company came.  Later, I was late getting ready for work, ran in to the frontroom to get my jeans off of the couch, (doesn't everyone put their clothes out of the dryer on the couch to fold them?) and, yep, ran straight on to the chair mat!!!   Yikes! Which wasn't really what I said. I did a lovely gymnastic move, falling forward onto my hands, then since that hurt so bad, rolling sideways onto my hip. The only way I could get up was to complete the roll off of the mat.  I had bleeding palms, bleeding hip, bruises, and was still late for work!  And the judges only scored me a 6 out of 10! LOL.  So I know how painful the lego was. Been there done that too!  And I didn't even have a cat to blame! Just myself.   Dumb dumb dumb.  Be careful next time!
