Weakened or irritated muscles are fatigued by activity.  This raises the lactic acid levels within the muscles and they are more likely to cramp with less stimulation.  But, neurologically weakened muscles fatigue VERY easily and thus spasm after minimal effort.

The greater strength you call on (like moving furniture) the faster and more severe the muscle fatigue and the worse the cramping and spasming.

When I've been exercising, my feet and calves will cramp more.  It's especially bad if I've been moving furniture - not sure why that is.  As for why, I think that my muscles have less oomph to them - they get tired easier, and cramp if they're aggravated.  Probably nerve damage.

Hi there... I'm not sure of the answer, but would like to know that myself...also why are they worse in the evenings?

is it because you up and about through the day...and when relaxing they start to cramp and spasm??

any ideas?
