Lost!

Woke up this morning feeling like I did when this all started.
Went to church, I sing in the choir, and had a hard time standing, feet going numb, spasms, tremors, etc.
The drunk walk is so embarrassing!

Fog is back and fatigue.

What do I do now?

Go back to doctor who says my lesions dont look the way they should?

The only one who thinks it's ms for sure is my psychiatrist.

Too bad he can't give me the meds to slow this **** down.

Feels like I am back where I started.

Any advice or words od wisdom?

Gosh, I wish something I could say would make everything better.  My heart breaks for you.  My son is 12 and I see him go through this alteast once a month.  It is sad to say but our saying around here nowadays is "it is what it is and maybe tomorrow will be better".  Usually rest and hydration does help some.  Bless your heart.  My son has yet to be 100% diagnosed with MS but we see an MS specialist and they "highly suspect".  Well, sometimes I wish they would just say it but they don't deny.  It has been 11 months now and we don't have a solid diagnosis.  I have heard and read this is nothing unusual.  It is a ruling out of other things until you have nothing left but MS.  How long has this been going on for you?  I wish you rest today and hope tomorrow will be a better day.

When was your last B12 drawn? What was your level btw? I'm just curious.

When was your last metabolic panel drawn to check your electrolytes? (Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, etc).

I would call your primary md and see him on Monday after work if he/she can squeeze you in and have him/her do blood work to ensure nothing else is out of balance at this time.

This way if your blood work is WNL's then fingers can point to other causes.

My B12 was 251 in April of 2011.  Not one MD in the hospital addressed that issue with me, nor did I realize that 251 was too low, especially for preexisting ataxia.  I started taking Vit B12 supplements (500/day) and now Im up to 593.  I dont have the balance issues I had in the past and the myoclonus activity had disappeared.  I still have the positive rhomberg, I can't tandem walk or walk on tippy toes or heels (stuff like that) but its much better than what it was.

Now I can say the paresthesias that continue to happen are not due to that or any other electrolyte imbalance.

I hope you feel better soon Kertelli.
