MRI Consistent with MS...Soooo...

So what now?

Do I start a treatment? How will I know that the treatment is working or not if I don't have any symptoms?
I'm pretty bummed, not because the diagnosis, but because I have a new job that I really like and starting MS treatments would inhibit me from doing that job. I work with live virus. I know the company tries to place you in another position that doesn't include working with live virus. IT JUST REALLY *****! I just started working here, only 4 months in.

Anywho... what can I expect next. The neuro said I have white spots on my brain and spinal cord? I'm not sure what that means. How does that relate to my symptoms of abnormal sensations? I need to hear some good news. All I can think about is i'm 23 with an autoimmune disease. Should I still have kids...go back to school?

I guess i'll add my picture now since its not suspected anymore. Its just about confirmed.

What blood work is there to do? My neuro said it looks like MS but there is some blood work to do at your next appointment....

Hi GG!

It's GREAT you are symptomless! You can definitely still do your work! The DMDs are not an immunesuppressant, and although MS is considered an autoimmune disease your immune system blood work will prob show fine.

It's ok - Work, have your family, get your education live your life!

You'll know it's working if treatment prevents future damage to your brain and spinal cord. If you remain attack free, or have very few. Lesions do not always correlate to specific symptoms so good to try to match them up.

Add your pic Guuurl! We got your back :)

I second what Shelly said!

Have 12 kids! (teasing)  Two is fine...or four...

I'm happy to hear you're not experiencing symptoms right now.  Phew!

Welcome to the forums btw!

HAHA! I was definitely trying to match the spot i found with what I have experienced. This is when my years of anatomy/ physiology don't help.
