MRI Film

I have posted this in the neurological section also.  I wasn't sure where this posting would go best.  I am going to attach three mri films and would like your input.  Since I can only seem to attach one film per post, I will have to do three post.  I know you are not radiologist but, I would really like your input.  I would like to be able to ask my doctor some intelligent questions.  He is looking for spinal problems and demylation.  I am very symptomatic.

Thanks for your input.

Hi,
My neuro told me you can not look at one slice like this and tell anything. He said many times it will look like a lesion, but unless it is on the preceding and following slice....it just may be an artifact on that one.
When do you get to sit down with him and go over this MRI results? He should be able to point out all the areas of concern.
The site Jen gave you above is real good!
Best of luck and I hope you get answers soon.

You appear to have two, perhaps three areas of increased signal in your cord.  There's one at the 2nd vertebrae, one at the third, and a lighter area at the fourth.

I always say to everybody that it's a mistake to try and read your own films.  This is true in this case as well.  What I'm seeing as an abnormality may not be anything at all!

However, if you really want to see some examples of lesion activity in MS, take a look at this website:

http://www.radiologyassistant.nl/en/4556dea65db62

It's got examples of MS lesions, and compares them to lesions from other kinds of disease.

Sorry, seeing the spinal lesions for me is impossible..  I  have them, my doctor has even pointed them out to me, and I still have trouble seeing my own.  I would have to be guessing at yours!  I'll go look at the next ones - I do somewhat better with brains.
