I KNOW YOUR REACTION WAS VERY SCARY.  HAVE YOU THOUGHT ANY MORE ABOUT GOING BACK ON SHOTS -- MAYBE ANOTHER MEDICATION?

I KNOW YOU'RE HAVING A HARD TIME WITH YOUR DIAGNOSIS, AND I UNDERSTAND THAT.

HOW'S THE SCOOTER GOING?  IS THAT GETTING EASIER TO ACCEPT?  IS YOUR HONEY ENJOYING IT MORE THAN YOU?

I think the time has come for you to start MS treatment through your primary doctor.  I think by what you have written, you already have a diagnosis of MS.  At least that's what I presume from what you have said.  Now you need treatment unless another doctor says that you do not have MS.

Sounds like you have been through the wringer.  You must feel like a human yo-yo.

I went back and looked at your post about your brain MRI.  As I stated then, it shows that there is no change from your previous MRI, as far as lesions are concerned.  Which is good news.  When was the MRI before that one?

Of course the radiologist states that he suspects demyelination but does not go so far as to say that he suspects that MS could be a cause of those lesions.  Your physical exam by your Neuro can show whether those brain lesions correlate with his physical findings.  Did your Neuro say anything about that?  Does he reproduce irregularities on your physical, hands on exam, that he feels correlate with the location of the lesions in your brain?  That's very important to know.

As far as going to a Neurosurgeon, I think the answer is yes.  It would not be a bad idea at all to be followed up by him for further discussion as to how he wants to treat you.

I'll wait for you to post more information or answers to some of my questions and hopefully, Quix and Jon will have a chance to review all you have written also.

Hang in there girl, Heather

Your post says that you have a narrowing in your spinal canal.  Maybe you are already aware of that.  It starts in the neck of course, with C-1 being directly at the top of your spine at the skull.  So C-4 through C-7 are a significant area to have stenosis and can cause all kinds of problems.  You also show arthritic changes in the cervical spine.  Those are the "osteophyte's" that are mentioned.  They are in fact more common than most people realize.  I am only 54 and I have bone spurs on every single vertebrae; even though I have no symptoms from those arthritic changes or should I say very, very midly.

I am going to go look at page 3 right now and re-read what you said about the brain MRI.  I will re-post here, if I have an opinion about what I read.  Okay?

I hope Quix or Jon chime in and give their opinion of what you spinal MRI is showing...
