MRI Results???

Can anyone tell me what this means and if I should be worried about MS.  I had the MRI bc I am crazy tired all the time, cant focus, no sex drive, tingling, and every time I lean my head forward my whole body vibrates.  Any help would be great!

"The ventricles, sulci, and cisterns are patent. There are several punctate foci of T2/flair signal hyperintensity in the subcortical and periventricular white matter of both frontal lobes. The brain signal pattern is otherwise normal. No acute edema, hemorrhage, or infarction is evident. No intracranial mass or abnormal enhancement is demonstrated. Normal flow voids are observed in the major vascular structures. Orbits, sinuses, and mastoids are unremarkable."

There should be a section of the report labelled 'Impressions' (or something similar). This is where the radiologist lists the differentials (possible reasons) for the finding. Please remember that radiologists simply report. It will be for the neurologist, ultimately, to interpret and ultimately diagnose if warranted.

"Punctuate foci" means tiny spots. They can be caused by many things, including nothing more than living a normal life. Other things can be migraine, smoking, elevated blood pressure, demyelination etc. Of these, the conclusion associated with MS is demyelination. This can happen with other conditions as well (demyelinating diseases).

With MS, it comes down to supporting clinical exams, case history, and the exclusion of other possible diagnoses by the neurologist. Do you have an upcoming appointment where you can discuss these findings with your neurologist?
