MRI with spots

I had my MRI with and w/o gadolinium yesterday.  They gave me a CD with all the slides on it and I am waiting for my doctor to get it and to hear back from him.

I am looking over the cd and I see numerous images in which there are light, sometimes even bright white round spots on the scans, but not on all of them.

Are spots normal?  Could blood vessels produce a round white spot in one area or do these always mean something?  I have done some image searches on MRI's and the only ones with spots on them I have found so far are in relation to ms, lyme, or other neuro disorders.  But could spots be normal?

I am seeing a highly endorsed MS specialist.  Do you think he will look at these MRI's personally?  Should I ask him to go over them with me or is that impolite?

All I know right now is that once he's looked at them his office will call me.

Thanks for any help!!!  I am not asking anyone to diagnose this or anything like that, just hoping someone may have a comment.

Ok.  Once the office calls me I will find a way to nicely ask if he himself has looked at the films or maybe I'll call him.

I also found a series of images with a blackish gray almost like missing piece on it.

I agree with Gaucho, you definitely have to ask that question. One thing I'm finding with MS diagnosis process is that you sometimes have to be proactive in pushing for answers.

Ask those questions ... because my neuro admitted that he never looked at my MRI. I switched after that but haven't found a doc I really care for yet. It sounds like your neuro's rep is good though, so hopefully he will have looked over yours and really is prepared to help you whatever may be happening.

Best wishes,
