I spent several months in Lake Havasu, AZ . I felt great!! The temperature during summer was 110-120. I stayed out of the heat when it was that hot, but I felt better than I had since dx.
Are you talking about elevation or lower latitudes?
I've read that the incidence of MS is lower in the "lower latitudes". Where you live when you are young can increase your risk of acquiring MS. The further away from the equator, the higher the risk.
Interesting about the elevation though...
So glad that you have a wonderful trip!
I've heard that higher elevations are actually better for certain ailments, like Parkinson's. Michael J. Fox just took a trip to Tibet and found that his symptoms were much relieved by being in the higher altitudes.
It sure sounds like a good reason to take more trips to me!
The lower elevation would allow your lungs to work more efficientlly, which is really important if you have respiratory issues. When you go to the mountains (higher elevations) your whole respiratory system works so much harder.
I would suspect that the change of scenery for vacation does us all a world of good. Toss in some sunshine, good food and strong libations and you have a good sounding recipe for a temporary *cure.*
Start thinking about testing your theory and plan your next cruise .....
