MS OR STROKE?

Ok im not a one hundered percent sure about what happened and I would like some opinions....
So i had recenetly had some odd symptoms and felt kinda sick so I went on a diet and had been taking colloidal silver for about 2 week 10ppm...  I kinda already had some what of low blood pressure but wasnt diagnosed with it and one morning woke up having all the muscles in my face wnere hard to move then realized that wasnt the only thing upon getting up I fell on my face... My rightside had gone completely numb along with partial numbness on my left...  My mind had felt like id been through a blender and still till this day i do not feel the same.. this had been about 4 to 5 months ago. Keep in mind that i put colloidal silver in my nose and my ears aswell as internally .. Not much though 2 spoons a day if not less... I went to a doctor who said i had depersonalize disorder but i urged him for and MRI without contrast. Revealing that I had to areas of inflammation one on the left being a 5mm flair corpus callsom the other on the right. Now they are calling this MS is there any possibility of some-sort of stroke... Being that my blood seems rather week ... the more coffee i consume the better I feel... you can literally see the blood vessels pump in my head when i do...Now as for ms does it produce a weak blood flow?  As for my face it twitches at night as if trying to reconnect or somthing... My muscles in my arms are also affected my right being weaker than my left.

I was originally diagnosed with a stroke but nothing showed on the CT and MRI mention, neurodegenerative, vasculitis or Lyme.

My neuro said no way to a "normal" stroke but that it was possible to have a large vessel stroke deep in the brain so he ordered a bunch of blood tests to check my clotting factors, antiphospholipid syndrome, etc.

Blood work was all normal so we did the spinal tap. That test led to my MS diagnosis.

My symptoms were mainly cognitive and visual in nature though so different from your numbness, etc.

Not sure if that is helpful or not but your diagnosis process seems to be similar. My neuro did not think I had MS originally and said if it turned out to be MS then I was an atypical presentation. One more reason to believe how vastly this disease can manifest.

Good luck with your journey and do not be afraid to advocate for yourself, seek second opinions, whatever it takes to know what exactly is going on.

Sorry I also want to say THANKS FOR THE Input... My cognitive  abilities have suffered greatly.  I really do appreciate the help. As for my Nero doctor he says "I don't see silver doing that... "The only reason I say this is because it seems very coincidental having had taken that product and have gotten such a strong reaction.... Now as for  my primary care doctors opinion She claimed that there was a possibility of it progressing my MS... I don't think that sounds logical ether.. Silver atoms deny blood of oxygen.. That was my theory at least.. Not a full blown stroke but a minor interruption of blood flow to the head..... I have gotten my MRI of my spine lesion free, thank god but I can't help noticing the weak blood flow along with a new rolling vein which came with all this.. I Could be over assuming but at this point I feel that accepting an MS Diagnosis makes little sense. Thank you again

Yes I did actually the neuro docter has given me a Diagnosis of MS but I really wasn't sure if Ms Had those sort of attacks... It was very sudden... And coincidental. My whole body being affected... Those to me don't seem like MS symptoms.. The MRI was without contrast and I was wondering if it is possible that they are missing somthing

Hi, I agree with Carrie. I think that a stroke would have been evident on your scan. Also, doctor's don't seem to even suggest MS unless they're quite sure (that's my experience anyway)
As to the question of blood pressure, I don't think ms would actually cause low bp BUT I also have very low bp and coincidentally it was first noticed soon before my diagnosis. Maybe there is some link but I haven't heard of it!
Your symptoms would certainly fit with ms. It's often very sudden and even once you have a definite diagnosis it continues to surprise you with weird sensations and episodes!
I also agree that you should mention the silver as it might be significant. I don't know anything about it's usage but any info you can give your doc is going to be helpful.
This is definitely a great forum and there are some lovely people. Their advice can be invaluable at times because doctor's can't know what ms actually 'feels' like.
I really hope all this eases up for you soon. At the time of a bad episode it can feel like you'll never feel better again but it usually passes and sure makes you appreciate things more!

I would think that a stroke would have been evident on your MRI so it doesn't seem likely that you had a stroke.  I don't know what kind of doc you are seeing but if they are saying it's MS you need to be seeing a neurologist and preferrably one who specializes in MS.  It seems that docs are reluctant to diagnose MS unless they are really sure.  Did you actually get this diagnosis or are they still investigating it, saying that MS is a possibility?  

That being said, I don't know anything about side effects of the silver but I would definitely mention it to your doc if you haven't already.  I googled it a little just now and it is considered unsafe but I wasn't able to see specifically any side effects so your doc might know more.

I'm sure sorry you are having these troubles, I hope you don't have MS or a stroke but if you do, this is a great forum for information and support.  Keep us updated.
