Thanks for the responses regarding my question on the connection between diet sodas and MS. I guess it was too much to hope for. I assumed since an MD had said he knew for a fact that the study on this connection was true, I really believed him. And to think that I have put myself through hell these past eight days detoxing off my beloved diet coke! Even though it didn't cause my MS, I'm sure the aspartame isn't good to be taking anyway. Has anyone had any experiences where diet sodas have caused an increase in their symptoms or severity of them?
I don't know if this helps. I myself don't drink diet anything, but my aunt who also has ms drinks diet Dr Pepper like it is going out of style. I don't think that it causes her any problems.
Wish I could do more.

However, I think it would be true that its healthier not to put anything artificialArtificial tears into our bodies. So congrats on breakking your diet coke habit (it is expensive for no good food value)... Spend the money on something you'll really enjoy. See if it makes any difference. I would think some people may be really sensitive to the artificail sweeteners and it could possidbly help, others maybe notice no difference.

The connection between health problems in humans and artificial sweeteners has so many pro and anti groups that it's hard to know what is really true. And there are big vested interests.
