M.S. and pregnancy?

Hey all so I'm new to all this forum stuff but I have a question. I just had a recent MRI and than a month later found out I'm pregnant. This is my first MRI in 5yrs that's completely clean of all lesions new and old. Any ideas?

Hi Adri and welcome - were you diagnosed with MS previously or just being tested to see if you might have signs?

I'm going to assume there were lesions on your previous MRI from your quesiton.  Amazing thing about our bodies - it has a tremendous capacity to heal itself.  I tell everyone - think about a scrape you have had and how the body will create a scab over that wound to allow it to heal.  The same goes with those pesky lesions.  The body will keep trying to heal them.

If you have been diagnosed, have you been on any drug therapy?

Congrats on the baby - that is always exciting news.

best,
Lulu

Thank you I'm very excited for the baby.
Yes I was diagnosed 5 years ago and have had 3 attacks in the first 2 yrs. No attacks since than but I still have my double vision and right side stiffness/weakness. I agree the body is an amazing thing. I have not taken any meds only vitamins such as D3, magnesium, calcium, and more since I was diagnosed. Now my new neurologist did my last MRI n said since there are no old or new lesions I don't have M.S. any more. Is that crazy? Or is that true? She said old lesions don't go away ever. I'm going to see a specialist in a couple months.
