MS and stiffness

I am so stiff i am walking like a tin soldier I can hardley bend my legs, it might be the damp cold that we have here in BC. it is so frustrating, adds to my depressing too, some times i wonder why i get up in the morning at all just to start another day of pain. anyone else have this with their ms? i hate to complain, i know some people have it so much worse than me.

I know the stiffness and muscle pain. I have to do a lot of stretching and the Doctors are trying to find the right cocktail. Everyone is not the same. In my case it is clonus constant involuntary spasms. I can hear my muscles snap like peoples joints do. Kinda sounds like waxpaper. For me it is important to keep moving as much as possible and stretch, stretch, stretch.

Hi baclofen didn't work for me in fact it made me feel worse. My neurologist wrote me a prescription for tizanidine and so far so good as far as stiffness goes. I hoped that helps . My regular doc gave me tramadol  for pains. I've felt better

I also have problems with stiffness.  It's weird because sometimes they are so weak, and then my left leg will get so stiff that I can't bend it at all.  I definitely feel your pain!

I hope you can find something that will help. Do you do any kind of stretching exercises?

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
I'm stiff all the time, every single day.  Most the time it's difficult for me to straighten my legs & it's hard to get up from a sitting position. My legs just feel so tight - even with 60 mg of Baclofen a day.  Maybe if you're not already, you can take something to help you with your stiffness?

Good luck,
Kelly
