thanks,

We got results from the blood work yesterday and the doctor rulled out HIV, Lupus, Syphilis and I do not know what else. What a stress, now they said that they need to tap the spine. They are inclining for MS

Does anyone had an experience like this?? What about the spine tap?

....Ooops, sorry I left a few words out of my thoughts there. Wanted to say too that  demyelination can be caused by MS and other diseases, but your report may not necessarily include a list of that info.

Hi there,

Welcome.

MS is a clinical diagnosis, so if your MRI report included language such as demyelinating process it's like Wobby says, there is more than one demyelinating disease and it's the radiologist job to document what is seen in the images taken.

If you feel up to telling us what's going on - were here to help.

The demyelinating process is a way of describing the disease mechanism in MS.  However, when a doctor uses demyelination to describe your condition, it's because they're unwilling to sign off on an MS diagnosis.  At least that's my take on it.
