Michigan has passed a law allowing MJ for medicinal use. My question is this: Nolos Guide to SSDI says not to admit smokingQuitting smoking Smoking - tips on how to quit Smoking and copd (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder) Smoking and smokeless tobacco Smoking hazards MJ for pain or they will deny you benefits. In Michigan you have to get a certificate from the state that says you need MJ for pain. So......will the feds take away your benefits? I think it is still a federal law that MJ is illegal in every aspect??? Including medicinal??? I would hate to think of all those people on SSDI getting certs from the state to grow and smoke their own MJ for pain, then the Feds come in and take away their SSDI.
Oregon has had the same marijuanaDrug abuse laws; with certifications, medical cards, and so on.
I know a certified grower (and medicinal user) that has recently applied for SSD, and was turned down. Now I'm wondering if there was a connection. I know she grows for disabled people, but I'm not sure of their SSD status.
She was able to get off of all narcoticDrug abuse pain-killers because of her plants and the tinctures and other products she's made from them. She's had chronic pain for years.
You raise an interesting question, as MJ is still federally illegal in the entire country. Small "pharmacy" growing operations are usually ignored, but I hadn't thought about having a medical marijuanaDrug abuse card as a reason for being turned down for SSD, or having it taken away.
Anyone have more direct knowledge? I'll ask this grower when I talk to her next what she knows about SSD and MJ.
Relieve pain, nausea and vomiting and stimulate appetite.
Effects of Indica (lower THC, higher CBN/CBD) are: generally more physical than cerebral (however, the relief of physical symptoms can have a positive psychological effect. Sedation, pain relief and relaxation, perhaps better for anxiety than depression.
Reduces pain, muscle relaxant, relieves spasms, reduces seizures, reduces inflammation, aids sleep, reduces anxiety and stress, reduces nausea, stimulates appetite, relieves headaches, and migranes, reduces intra-ocular pressure, bronchio-dialator and expectorant.
Nuero will not fill out a request for medical marijuana. I called a SSDI lawyer and he said that the feds won't mess with the issue if the state allows it. But....he didn't sound like he knew for 100%
