Maybe it is MS?

FWK

3 months ago,(23 feb 2008), I had protected anal sex with my male friend but unprotected
oral which lasted only 3-5 seconds, he didn't ejaculate since I never let teh person do.
I was suffering from gingivitis (bleeding gums) but was treating it , and usually they don't
bleed unless u irritate them with a brush or press on the gum.

When I first woke up that night I had severe diarrehea

Anyways, after taht I felt very ****, and had this king of 'beat' feeling in my hips, similar
to a heartbeat in teh heart so got very worried then got a sore throat after a week
(lasted 2-3 days).with phlegm in my mouth.
I am not sure this is related but since then my stools are yellow, and sometimes
it feels I don't need to excrete even though my diet is the same.

Later I got a severe headache (never got a headcahe before), the phlegm (white/clear)
was still there, headache lasted 5 weeks, was prescribed as tension and went to my ears
which developes tinnitus dues to wax which I cleared using drops and syringing.

During teh headache I got a rash but developed while taking 'ibuprofen', the rash was on
my cheek, was not very big and lasted an hour then it was gone.

I also have a hazy/blurred vision, eye test showed nothing

Phlegm is still there, no cough but dizzy all the time, occasional headaches, depression,
insomnia and 9 weeks later I got weakness in my legs and joints and muscle aches and also
paresthesia which stared as cold toes, tehn tingling in fingers and toes then hands and legs.
Sometimes everywhere else even head (more like electric shocks).
Nausea comes and goes and losing appetite.

3 months on and...I still have:
Phlegm (white/clear) no couph or pain
yellow stools sometiems not formed, and gas also
paresthesia (fingers and hands mostly now , but comes and goes)
nausea
burping
weakness in legs but all actions can be performed
hazy vision.

All symptoms don't prevent me from doing everyday work but I am alwasy depressed and worried
and my GP alwaasy tends to treat each symptom alone....
I will go and do an STD/STI test.

Question?

Can this be an HIV infection?
Can it be a combination of HIV/Hepatitis?

I was diagnosed with a urethra infection (like chlamidya maybe), syphillis, hep B and C to know next week.....

Thanks to all,

I have posted my concerns on teh HIV and STD Forums.
HIV forum says I have no risks coz oral isn't a risk especially if no ejaculation occured and it is very low anyway.

The thing about my GP is that she tries to solve one problem at a time, not take all as a main cause. The other thing she annoyed me last time when i asked to test for diabetes because of my vision status and also I had cold toes taht time and my brotehr is diabetic so i have 15% chance......but will check that afterwards.
Sometimes people think coz u are young it means u can't get any problem....gets me frustrated

Thanks to all of you guys, you were much helpful

I am glad that you felt comfortable enough with us to post your concerns.  I agree with the others when they say that none of your symptoms sound even remotely to MS.

I would suggest that you check out the sexual health Forum on MedHelp to discuss your concerns with others that may be in your same situation.  MedHelp is a great place to get wonderful and informative information, but most of all, friendship beyond measure with much understanding and compassion.

We all wish you the very best.  No more unprotected sex...okay?  We want you to stay healthy and not be nurdened with these kinds of worries.

Best Wishes,
Heather

Hi!  I wanted to take the opportunity to welcome you to our forum, too!  I'm glad you feel comfortable here.  But I'm sorry you're worried and depressed, not feeling well and probably scared.

Like the others, I do not think that what you're describing sounds like MS.  But, certainly something is going on and you need to see your doctor.  I'm glad that you're practicing safe sex only.  But, I think you are a little panicky that your precautions have not been enough.

Go see your doctor.  It will give you the answers you need to ease your mind.  Be honest, as you have been with us.  As Jon said, HIV does not come on all at once in such a short period of time.  But, to settle the matter, see your doc.

Also, there is an HIV forum on Medhelp, too.  You could lurk around there, and see if others have symptoms like what you're experiencing.  But, not INSTEAD of seeing your doc.

Good luck, feel well, and take care of yourself!

Hi,

Thanks for replying, I just neevr tested before because I alwasy had safe sex and only recently had many anal sexual interactions all with condoms eitehr way.

I get worried and depressed all the time but anyway my brain goes all the way and my symptoms are wide ranged that I even don't understand.

Hopefully it is not HIV at least....I pray to God all the time though I have been bad lately, and I thought he punished me or something...
Thanks a lot

Nothing here sounds even remotely MS.  Sounds more of a GI issue, likely a virus.

Also, it may be just a coincedence about the timing of the events.  I'm not an HIV expert or a doctor but I have not heard of people getting sick this way that quick for HIV.  It sounds like a bug.

I'm sorry for what you are going through.  No, this doesn't 'sound' like MS to me, but please, please, do not have unprotected "anything."

Also, arrange a visit to the Dr.  Don't worry, people get tested for these things all the time!  It's not a big deal, really.  You could look online, or call your local county health services.

You may just have a cold, but you will get comfort from having the tests run for STD's, etc.
Take care of yourself,
-SL
