Memory Concerns!!!

MS seems to have gotten a serious hold of brain! I am forgetting more than usual and it is worrying me. I indicated this to my neuro and all he said was use Evening Primrose. Well that didn't sound right but I did and no better rather I;ve gotten worse.

Writting things down to remember doesn't work because for instance; "I have to call mom. I'd write it down, but then I forget that I had to call her and in turn forget that I wrote it down and not check"...and this is happening on a daily basis and its starting to worry me badly!

Also I am losing control of my bladder quickly. Once I feel to go I have to race to it because by the time I get to the washroom, I may have 'wet' myself. I'd feel like I am holding it up but I am not, its coming down. Had a few accidents and have to make panty-liners my best friend. It is super crazy!

Thank you guys! :-) I did an MSU UTI last week so when I go to the doc I'd knw d results. I also believe my body is very tired! I am going Sunday to Sunday literally and not getting any exercise.

Paula I haven't been to a urologist but maybe I should try and do that, and yea I change those liners every 2-3hrs.

I am going to talk to my Neuro again about my memory problems and hope this time something more substantial comes out of it. I downloaded an app last night called Life Reminders and I'm giving it a try to see how it works.

Thanks for your support guys much appreciated :-)

My cell phone is my favorite thing now. I set reminders in it all the time to set off an alarm to remind me.

My neuro put me on adderall to help with my concentration and fatgue and it has helped a lot. I still forget everything but I feel normal again as far as being attentive to things and feeling alive again.

I have to wear pads all the time too, it is a horrible thing to go through but it is better than wetting yourself all teh time. My advice though is to change that pad often so you avoid yeast infections from the moisture and avoid UTI's. Have you been to see a urologist for it, there are things they can do to help. I haven't been as of yet due to other obligations right now.

I do understand how frustrating it is though. I hope you get some relief soon!

It is so frustrating!  I really feel for you.  I go through the same kinds of things every day.  A lot of us here do...  Memory issues can be alarming,  I also have bladder problems.  I take oxybutnin for this, but I still need to wear protection of some sort.

On to happier things!  How is Spain today?  I live in Washington state, and it's thundering and raining here...  At least I don't have to contend with heat very often, lol!  Spain just sounds so nice.  I hope your day is going better.

Is it possible you have a urinary tract infection?  My symptoms (especially memory) get worse if I have an infection or I'm overly tired.  I also belong to the club of setting the alarm on my phone to remind me of things.  I would be lost without it!!

I use to write down things like you have been and had the same problems. What has helped me a lot is that I picked up an Ipod Touch and an app called errands. I carry the iPod on my belt and when it is time to do something that I have written down on it I get an alarm sounding. This app is also for an iPhone and iPad if you have either of these.
