Mokibear's Mommy is at peace.........

Moki's mommy passed away at around 6 pm last night.  I just wanted to let all of you know to keep Moki in your thoughts and prayers.

Oh baby girl.  What words can anyone say to ease your pain?  I really think, there are none.  I am so sorry for the void that is now left in your life, but rejoice that your Mother is now is Heaven, enjoying all the rewards....especially of a whole body with no pain.  God truly bless her and be with your family through these difficult times.  He's always been there, Mok; he has been carrying you.  "Footprints in the Sand."

Dear Moki, to say I am sorry does not quite express what I would like to say.  Sorry seems so little.

I have been where you are and it is devastating.  I cried harder than I had in my whole life.  i felt like wailing but I also knew I was crying for me, for what I had lost, his presence in my life.  I was not crying for him because he was ready.  We had said all we needed to say but none of that filled the void at that time.

But the good news is the tears come less and less and the memories with smiles come more and more.

He passed Sept 2003, six yearn ago and although I have come to accept the loss of his physical presence in my life, his spirit is still with me.  Every time I smell coffee or someone tells a stupid or off color joke, I feel his presence and my heart is both sad and happy.

What I am trying to share with you is it is okay to cry, even to wail but hold onto those who love you and know that you will get through this and their are smiles waiting on the other side.

I will keep your family in my prayers and don't forget to take care of yourself during all of this.  It is important that you do.

I can't thank you all enough for your thoughts, prayers, messages and notes during this time. I asked you all to pray for a quick passing for my Mommy and the prayers were heard.

Mommy passed less than 2 weeks after her diagnosis, peacefully with all her family by her side. I am so thankful that she will no longer suffer and I know she is looking down on me now smiling.

I still have a lot to digest and sort through emotionally as things did happen so quickly that I never had a chance to absorb any of it. My parents 50th anniversary is this Saturday and I know it will be a tough day as my Mommy really had hoped to be here for it. We are going to my Daddy's and we are still going to celebrate it as I know she would want us to.

Thank you all again for being here for me through this difficult time. I am so grateful to you all.

Dearest Mokie,
I do have an idea of how you are feeling, as my own dear Mama passed away the 15Th of Oct. I am and have been Praying for both of you since I first learn about the cancer. The Good Lord heard all of our Prayers and removed her from the earthly pain she was suffering with and now she is free from all pain and together again with all her loved one who passed before her.
May this in some small way bring you some comfort. Try to put these last painful days be hind you and hold on to the memories of your Dear Mother being well and strong, Rest in the knowledge that you are a very loving Daughter and that you were a Blessing to her life.
You are so right to Celebrate her life with your Father. Your whole family sounds so loving, so lean on each other and don't be afraid of the tears, they can be very comforting. Also remember to EAT and REST, this will help you keep up your strength over the next few weeks .. She would expect you to take good care of yourself.
