Thank you for the condolences everyone.  I was saying on FB that we have good memories of him when my older brother & I were kids.

He would pull us behind his tractor in a little wagon.  We thought it was so much fun.  Plus, we were hiding at their house in Limestone County, AL, during the super tornado outbreak.  When almost 150 tornadoes went thru 13 states and 100s were killed & thousands were injured.

Trying to ration my energy and activity this week as I was nominated to host Easter in my tiny home!

Need to bug the MS specialist's office AGAIN to see when they can get me in. Been waiting over two months just to MAKE and appointment.

Other than that, enjoying time with my kiddos and taking it one day at a time. :)

Busy as usual!  Working through to Good Friday then food shopping cleaning cooking. I had the option to go to a friends for Easter rather than do it myself and while that thought would be nice, I am soooo excited to be home!  With working every day -  A day at my own house is worth the work!  After this I am straight through to Mothers Day so I am looking forward to seeing my house in the daytime!  LOL  And it is supposed to get warmish here!

Happy Easter!

Spring Break for the boys, so grandson is back at his mom's.  Her 6th is due any day now.  Zoning Commission hearing last night.  Also met with church board beforehand.  They are fed up with our remodeling contractor, who has a way of blaming delays and problems everywhere but in his own backyard.  Board all supportive of my actions to date, thank God.

Friday we're touring the Henry Ford Museum.  Haven't been there since I was in elementary school.  Spending the night in a swanky place up there.  Maybe 3 hours away?  Week full of prepping for Sunday.

Also prepping for next week, when forecast suggests I can proceed with pulling out the old furnace, jacking up & reinforcing the floor structure above it, and installing the new furnace.  I might have to skip a day of work, depending on my energy level as I plow through that project.

Medically, I think I am pretty good.  Increased gabapentin seems to have things under control, and I feel pretty good nearly all the time.  Giving thanks.

Kelly, so sorry for the loss of your uncle.

Peace & blessings to all.

I am trying to figure out how to pull off hosting the annual family Easter dinner now that my oven broke yesterday. :( We are going to look for a new one on Wednesday but I don't think it will be in by Sunday....ugh!

It sure doesn't look anything like spring around here as it continues to snow every day....another ugh!!

Happy Easter to all :)

Very sorry to hear of your loss, Kelly.  My condolences.

Immisceo, my ancestors on my paternal g'father's side hail from County Cork, but have been in Canada since the mid-1800s.    My surname is prominent in Cork, though if I'm related to anyone there, it is very distantly.

Kelly, first of all condolences on your uncle. I'm thinking of you (experience with that type of cancer in my family as well).

As for you appointments, I hope you get some answers at the allergist. That does not sound like any fun at all!

We'll be driving through Roscommon as well! It's funny; for such a little island, it's so easy to find people with close connections!

Oh, and I forgot to say that my grandma is from County Roscommon. And she says we had/have family in County Mayo, as well. She's been back numerous times to visit and has taken my mom back there with her & my grandpa.  I've never had the chance to go - but I want to someday.

I'm working from home today as my uncle passed away yesterday from brain cancer.  They had given him 2 wks to 2 mos & he lasted for about 3 mos.

Tomorrow morning I have an appt with an allergist here where I live (and another one scheduled with a specialist in Denver for next month).  I want to get to the bottom of why I keep getting rashes & hives & anaphalactic stuff going on with me.

Friday I'm off of work - although, it hasn't been approved, yet.

Sun we're supposed to go to my partner's sister's house in the morning for an easter egg hunt for the little nephew and a b-day party for our brother-in-law. Then my brothers want to get together - which usually means, FOOD.

That's exactly where we'd be headed! My father-in-law is from Cong where Ashford Castle is located. Actually, on my profile page there's a photo of me on the grounds there at their falconry school. A great day!

Enjoy the walks with your pooch!

Weather is good here this week, meaning sunny and above freezing, so I hope to get out daily with the pooch.  There's a beautiful park nearby by our new house, which so peaceful in the middle of the day.  My body is like Jello afterwards, for a couple of hours, but I really need to step up my activity level.

Hope to meet a friend for coffee one morning, another advantage to moving, I have several stay at home mom friends here.

We don't celebrate Easter per se - the religious part - but I'll cook a turkey and buy some treats, our secular tradition.

Immisceo, safe travels to County Mayo!  We've been there, to Ashford Castle.  Dublin too, and the north and south as well.  I love your green, unspoiled country. :)

Dealing with snow today. Spring has taken a hike.

A fairly uneventful week coming up, which is fine with me. Easter family gathering is Saturday rather than Sunday, due to logistics.

It seems my insurance is approving me for Ampyra, but I'll wait and see. There always seem to be hoops to jump through, don't there? Now if BG-12 just gets approved by the FDA this week, I'll be first in line.

Going to be a busy week for me.

1. I need to find a contractor to replace the roof & gutters on my poor leaking house. Not sure how I will do that as contractors here don't list their businesses in the yellow pages.

2. Need to put money into an IRA account to cut my income taxes down to zero due.

3. Appointment with a different shrink on Wed. at the VA. I hope this one will be good and that she will become my regular shrink. My current one keeps canceling every other appointment that I have.

4 Need to do some research on landscaping around my home to make it easier on me as I don't handle warm weather at all.

5. Check to see if I survived all of the above. :)

Not much going on for me, errand day on Wednesday, waiting for appt dates on MRI and Sleep Study, next two weeks are busy with medicals and other appts, so enjoying this sorta unbusy week, which is good because still dealing with the dizzies from Neurontin increase.

Everyone have a good week and Happy Easter........

Here in Ireland we're gearing up for a four-day weekend (yup; Good Friday and Easter Monday = public holidays), so I'm thinking we may head over to Mayo (other side of the country from Dublin). After all the recent flooding and even snow in the north, fingers crossed that 'proper spring' is around the corner.

Got a good bit of cleaning done over the weekend, so I'm kind of just walking around the apartment today with that super-virtuous sense of calm I get when even tops of the bookcases would pass Mary Poppins's inspection (seriously; a clean environment is a real mood-lifter with me and a keen barometer of how I'm doing, physically, even if I've not noticed directly!)
