I received a registration form for  

"An educational program for people with MS and their family and friends" from OHSU.

I thought I would share the information for anyone that lives around the Portland area.  I plan on being there.

It's Saturday, April 25, from  8:30am - 1:15pm (lunch will be served), at the Hilton Portland & Executive Tower
921 SW 6th Ave., Portland, OR 97205    Park at the Executive Tower Parking Garage, 545 SW Taylor Street.
Validated tickets will be issued at the program.

8:30 - 9:00    Registration

9:00 - 9:15    Introduction and Welcome, Dennis Bourdette, M.D.  (Chairman, Dept. of Neurology, OHSU

9;15 - 10:00    You and Your Neurologist:  Getting the Most Out of your Clinical Visit, Grag Zarelli, M.D. (Kaiser Neurology)

10:00 - 10:45   Reclaiming Yourself:  Taking Charge of Stress and Mood, Darcy Cox, Psy.D., R. Psych (Geriatric Psychiatry Outreach team, Vancouver, B.C.)

10:45 - 11:00   Break

11:00 - 11:30    But You Look So Well:  Managing Fatigue, Ed Kim, M.D. (MS Fellow & Instructor, Dept. of Neurology, OHSU)

11:30 - 12:15     When Will We Have a Pill for MS?  Dennis Bourdette, M.D.

12:15 - 1:15     Lunch     Questions & Answers and Conclusion.

the cost is $20 per person (cash or checks only)

Hey, Kathy, this sounds great. Each topic is one that cycles through here every couple of months, or even every couple of weeks. Please take good notes, or even take a small tape recorder. I hope you can report back to us that it was well worth your time.

I'm pretty good at taking notes; I'm also helping they will have hand-outs.  I'll see if I can borrow a small tape recorder from someone.  That would be the best, especially when it comes to the Q and A part.

I'll mail my registration form and check in the next couple of days.  

I'm looking forward to this!
