Multiple things going on

I would like to pose this question and find out if anyone else has this mixed up version of diagnosis:
Atrial Fib was the first thing I had.  It is chronic and have had 2 ablations with little success. cant take medication fot it.
Five years ago this November, I had a stroke.  Couldn't speak.  Have recovered from it. wasnt on coumadin.
1 year ago in October found out I have a glomus tumor which has taken out my hearing on my right side.  Don't want surgery.  MRI shows it not growing however the March MRI
showed a new stroke which I didn't know I had.  Went back to the language part of the brain.
Went to a neurologist and he said he wanted me to have another MRI so he could ruleout where the stroke came from.  Thought it might have come from my carotid, etc since I was therapeutic on my coumadin. I dont remember him saying anything but my husband remembers him saying there is an abnormality that he wanted to check out, so yesterday, went  back to him.  Gave him the disc of the MRI and with contrast there are white lines and dots on my MRI.  He was going to wait for the radiologist report, but he said it wasn't an emergency because it had been "cooking for a while"
I am a healthcare professional.  To look at me you would think I am the picture of health.  I am 52 years old, obese, not morbidly.  but
I am getting seriously worried that everything I have put together is going to knock me on my butt.  I am very independant and just now am at the spot in life where I can do a lot of things like travel, play golf, etc.  I think I have felt bad for so long, that I just keep going and accept it for what it is.
I dislike whiners and I'm pretty sure I'm whining.  I think what I need is to point to a good direction of being able to correct this.

I find it very interesting that we both have had the rheumatic fever.  I've actually had it twice as an adult.
Thanks for talking to me.  I'm much calmer tonight.  I went and bought supplements that I used to take when I was really sick with fibromyalgia and could barely move: which is also an auto immune disease.  Tomorrow is August 1.  I plan on starting to walk and try to lose some weight (again)

you're not old at 52 - I am definitely old at 56!  LOL

take care and stay in touch, Lu

Yep, messy is the word isn't it?  I have physicians that won't treat me because they think "too complex" . Whatever is on my MRI, if it is anything will just add to the complexity.
The ablation would work for a little while.  I'm pretty sure I'll have to check out another ablation since I've had another stroke.
I knew that getting old wasn't for sissy's.  I take care of elderly people but I didn't think at 52 I was getting old.

I have that messy history, too.

MI due to vasospasm about 8 months before I was dx'd with MS in 2008

Prinzmetal angina.

cholesterol elevated (210) without that miracle drug, Lipitor (110's)

I had rheumatic fever as an adolescent.

low blood pressure - 90/60 is my usual

I do take multi-vits and calcium but no other supplements.  My list of meds is pretty lengthy, but could be worse.

Did the ablation not work the first time or is  this an encore?  Amazing what they can do with heart rhythms and electricity. :-)

I'm out of here for the day but hope someone else will come by and add ideas.

take care, Lu

Yes, I did know that I posted to the MS site.  I have had symptoms for a while.  I have a friend that has MS for over 10 years (she is an identical twin) and had mentioned it before.  I certainly believe it would not be the worst thing that has happened but I just didn't understand and am worried about it all.  I understood why I had the stroke the first time: it was called stupidity and thinking I could control what my body did.  The glomus tumor is a pain in the butt or actually ear.  I looked at the possible things I can do something about.
Atrial Fib- possibly another ablaton
strokes- nothing other than really try to take care of myself to try to avoid another one but...
glomus tumor- nothing
possible MS- possible something

Do you do vitamins, etc?  I have also Fibromyalgia- a very long time.  Past rheumatic fever in adulthood.  Non hypertensive, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol,  and I just found out this out yesterday.  I need the radiologist report the worst way!!!!

Hi and welcome.  I'm not sure if you realize you have posted this in the Multiple Sclerosis forum.  The white spots on your MRI could be lesions/plaque but with your history they sound more ischemic in nature.

You are not whining - if so there would be cheese nearby.  LOL

This is a great place to unload your concerns and ask questions - Medhelp has a number of heart/cardiac forums and you might want to post your story there.  Two strokes is two too many.  What a constant worry to live with.

Welcome again  - feel free to ask away here.  If we don't have an answer we can refer you on.

be well, Lulu
