Hi Quix, Yes, I agree with you that I gave the Lyrica MORE than its fair trial.
It was prescribed for pain that I've been having on the bottom of my feet and "zaps" I've been getting in some of my toes when I wear certain shoes.
I was really doing well on the Provigil and Amitriptyline prescribed for my Fibromyalgia, but - my GP thought the Lyrica might help w/ the foot pain - and it didn't.
At this point I told him NO to more drugs for now. For someone who has FM - I am really not in much pain.
As you may remember, I received a "RE-diagnosis" of FM earlier this year from Mayo w/ the following comments, "Brain MRI appears to be on an Open MRI" (No kidding! It was only .25 Tesla - Do you think I win the prize for lowest MRI Stregnth?) and further testing would be warranted should my sx.s become more Objective in nature.
I guess my latest - "Flashes of light in my peripheral vision" would not be considered Objective either!
I forgot until my husband reminded me that I had been to an Opthamologist about 12 years ago for the same thing - normal exam.
My timline gets more interesting all the time!!!
Julia
I think you really went over and beyond what could be asked of you in giving this a good trial.
There are other meds useful. Remind me what you were taking it for.
