My MRI Report Amended...So Sorry!!!!

   Sorry, when typing my MRI Report, was not wearing my galsses and hubby noticed I did not write that sentence down. ..It probably means nothing....

Findings:
it was done on a 1.5 T  w/  w/out Contrast.


Findings:
   The white matter lesion of Increased signal in the right Cerbral Hemisphere next to the Lateral Ventrical appears more Prominent and measures 6 mm in size. There is also a similiar Lesion in the contralateral side measuring 8mm in size. Prominent perivenular spaces at the level of the Lateral Ventricle is again noted . Linear areas seen as increased signal on T2 on Axial Image 14 and Low signal on T1. They are not identified however on Flair sequences. The brainstem is unremarkable.

Opinion:
    Relatively symmetric areas of alyered signal near the Lateral Ventricals in the White Matter. These are more apparent than the study done on 7/7/09.
This Appearance is compatible with the diagnosis of MS.

You're lucky that you can try to type without your glasses. I can't even find my face without wearing mine! If they are not on my face, they are on the bedside table...LOL.

Based on what I know, the size of your lesions are not inconsistent with MS. Don't know anything  the spaces.

When are you meeting with the Neuro?  When I received my first MRI report I remembered my old auntie who used to tell me years ago "why don't you become a Doctor?  Politics is useless."  She was probably right.  Now I could use knowing how to interpret the tests, among other things!

These MRI's really do start sounding similar don't they?  They use 7 words to describe the location and only one word to say what the spot is.  I was just looking at images and was wondering how anyone could actually see anything.  

I'm hoping that this is a good outcome, without any exacerbations for you.  Hopefully the lesions will dissipate------one can hope!!!
