Neuor appt. today went well

Saw my MS neuro for my six month check up. He was very impressed with my vit D3 numbers! I went from 35 to 69. I credited my ARNP for increasing the dosage I take. Everything checked out fine, and some little background noise issues were truly just that, so I am good for another six months! Unfortunately my wonderful ARNP misread my TSH numbers, telling me that they were low. When I reread the report I thought they were normal and the doc today concurred. He says it happens. The brain and eyes don't even function perfectly in people without MS! Thankfully it wasn't a big deal! Glad to have my week of appointments over with for awhile. We have our youngest son and daughter in law with us for the weekend. They are job and house hunting. Need to make a change. Crummy time in the economy, but their lease is up at the end of the month. Interestingly enough, her mom has MS, too. Having a great time with the grandkids - ages 1 and 3.

I'm happy to hear that you had a good visit and that your vitamin D3 has gone up.  Are you feeling better, too?  You mentioned your eyes and TSH levels--are having some trouble?  Having a whacked-out thyroid does cause problems . . .

Enjoy your weekend with those precious little ones.

Hi Granny-J,

I'm sure you are tied up w/the 1 and 3 yr old, but wanted to congratulate you on your good appt. Yay! It's nice to hear good news.

Like Deb, I'd like to know if you are feeling any differently now w/the increase in D3 levels, when you have time to post.

See you soon.

Yes, had a great time with the grandkids! They wear me out, but its a good kind of worn out! The good news is that it looks like my son may have a job and they may have found a house, so they will be closer to us - hooray!

My NP had misread my TSH level. I think she put the decimal point in the wrong place. I had looked over her shoulder and thought the same thing til I got home and reread it! She had thyroid antibodies drawn, so I suspect that will be a wash. The neuro agreed the TSH was within normal range, so no worry there.

I think the neuro was just saying that even doctors make errors and misread things. We certainly know what that is like, don't we?

I think I will wait til I get the thyroid test back and then call the NP's office and see if she won't reread the results. Actually she will get a report from my neuro so maybe he will mention it. Thankfully it isn't something big! I would have it (TSH) rechecked before I would even consider taking any meds!

I really can't tell any difference with the extra D3 I'm sorry to say! Maybe it hasn't been enough of a jump? I don't know!

Anyway, I've gone on long enough. I need to go get ready for church. I am dragging my feet (no pun intended!) since I am a little achey (achy) from my shot last night and am just kind of waiting for the Advil to kick in a little. See you all later!
