MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS COMMUNITY
Neuroplasticity podcasts

Neuroplasticity podcasts

I added this to the neuroplasticity health page, but since not everyone who might be interested is likely to see it there, I thought I'd make a post, too. A friend recently pointed me to the Brain Science Podcast (http://docartemis.com/brainsciencepodcast), which is a really interesting series.

Anyway, there are several episodes on neuroplasticity, which I thought some people might find interesting:

#10 Neuroplasticity: http://tinyurl.com/98zho4
Explores the recent research that has established, contrary to long-standing dogma, that our brains are able to change throughout our lives, based on our experience.

#26 Norman Doidge on Neuroplasticity: http://tinyurl.com/8dcfvy
This is the only one I've listened to so far and it was very interesting, although mostly things that were also covered in his book The Brain That Changes Itself.

#28 Edward Taub on stroke rehab: http://tinyurl.com/9mtped
Taub pioneered the use of Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy in the rehabilitation of stroke and other neurological disabilities.
