Never got the blood patch for my spinal headache. I still tend to get headaches often, does anyone have the same problem??

It's been 7 months and I still tend to get these headaches from time to time. It's a different type of headache to me, I meanly have them around my temples and above my eyes on my forehead. Their are times I just get up out of bed and begin to have my head bother me.
Now the difference with me is I never got the blood patch, I read a few things and was quite scared. I also talk to the doctor and he said to wait 2 weeks. So I waited and I started to feel better. I was able to get up w/o being horrified of the pain.
I didn't notice these headaches until a month after the pregnancy. But I never thought anything of it. I never remembered having so many headaches before. Before all this I would have a headache once every 6 months if that. So it got me thinking maybe these headaches are linked to not getting the blood patch or it's something else?
So is there anyone out there that didn't get the blood patch that either has the same problem or something else?
Thank you

HI Jazmine, I don't believe we have chatted yet, so let me say welcome.

Seven months after an LP you would not still be getting this headache.  The headache comes from leaking spinal fluid and if the puncture site had not healed by now, you would definitely know it.

My guess, and it is only a guess, you have something else causing your headaches.  Have you discussed this with your doctor?  It would be great if you could get some relief.

I'll look for you around here more - welcome again.

Hi Jazmine

I don't know your history, but it seems to me anyone with lesions on their brain might be succeptable to headaches.

I get headaches almost daily. I started getting them about 8 months ago, and got my LP 2 months ago, so I know for me they're not related.

I take Tramacet for relief as needed.

Take care
