New Here!

Hi there everyone. I have been a member on MedHelp for awhile now with the Lyme Disease Community and I have recently been looking into cervical kyphosis. While i was receiving my diagnosis for Lyme, one of my MRI's had shown/demonstrated that i have lost all curvature in my neck and its actually starting to curve the wrong way.

I never thought much of it, because the doctor didnt seem concerned at all.

After my husband being diagnosed (recently) with cervical kyphosis. I thought i would do some research to see what cervical kyphosis is and what symptoms or problems it can cause, and wouldnt you know it, a lot of my lingering sympoms that i believed was from Lyme, i have found with other patients that have cervical kyphosis.

I was just wondering if any of you have the same or similar symptoms as me.

- Ear Ringing
- Headaches/Migranes/Dull pain
- Dizziness
- Brain fog/Confusion
- Fatigue
- Eye Problems/Interuptions - Vireous floaters, light sensitivity, sore eyes
- Sinus issues

and if so, did chiropratic attention subside/fix your symptoms and cervical kyphosis

I do...but Im trying to find a diagnosis right now. I need pretty urgent help...my symtoms (symptoms) are now progressing more rapidly but the chiropractor just found cervical kyphosis only when he adjusted my neck numbness, tingless, urinary retention, and nausea/vomitting have now developed. I'm so scarred. If you find anything out, let me know, you can read my post, rather plea for help as it describes my other symptoms.

Lyme will leave you with some neurological damage that takes a long time to heal.  Typically neurological damage can take anywhere from three months to three years.

Of your symptoms, the dizziness, brain fog, and fatigue are the only things that sound familiar.  The thing is - MS fatigue is different from just being tired.  The best description I've found is to imagine that you have the flu, and your fever is 102°.  You're so exhausted that you can't keep your eyes open - you're so tired that you can't even reach the remote control to change the station, even though you hate the show.  You feel weak and confused, and if you try to speak, your speech will be slurred.  Sleep - usually about three hours, sometimes more - will help me.  My husband tells me that when I'm sleeping from fatigue, I am OUT!

I would not recommend chiropratic for MS symptoms.  I would be careful about chiropracty for cervical kyphosis.  An inexperienced practitioner could actually injure you further.  With serious alignment issues, the best thing is to seek a doctor's care.
