Not Monday - but what's happening the weekend?

by sllowe, Nov 07, 2009 06:45PM
Hi there,

We typically do this ritually on Mondays,

Who's oversleeping? Feeling good? Bad? Anyone have any ideas on how to eat some ice cream without killing my sinuses?

As for me, slugging my way through chores, but I'm grateful to be home. Battling the stiff neck and head, a pain behind my eye that I've had all week (but think it's sinus) a leg that has felt like there is a muscle pulled in it, but it's been a couple months, so maybe it's the MS.  Yea, yea, I'm self dx'ing like we all guard against, ha/ha. Other than that it's been a good day because I didn't have to run around outside the house. Hoping to do the same tomorrow.

Check in if you feel chatty, if not, that's ok too.
We are missing some folks too - so to those lurking and MIA show yourselves!

What is this stiff neck thing?  I get that, too and have always wondered if it's the MS.  Is it neck spasticity? That sounds weird, though.

I'd rather self-diagnosis, too, sometimes.  There's a lot that goes on with MS and sometimes I get a little cavelier about symptoms that need doctor attention, and would rather self diagnosis--hehe!  I wish there was a wand like they use in Star Trek that could be bought at Walmart.  Then I could wave the wand over my eye or neck to see what the heck is going on, and voila--the exact cause pops up.  This kind of device sure would make things easier for those undiagnosed, wouldn't it?

Hey Shell,
hoping to sleep in tomorrow - which would mean making it past 6:15!  I might make that because I am up late tonight - I've made it to 10:30.  LOL

Did you catch my journal a while back about the eyeball pain?  Turns out it wasn't my MS, but dry eye .... you might want to read it and see if perhaps that could be your problem too.  The pain in my right eye has definitely improved and almost completely disappeared in the past month since I started lubricating it and using the restasis.

For the ice cream dilemma - try to keep the cold off the roof of your mouth.  That seems to be the spot that triggers the sinus pain from the ice cream.  Try it and let me know if it works.

Happy weekend!
Lulu
