Hey Shell,
hoping to sleep in tomorrow - which would mean making it past 6:15! I might make that because I am up late tonight - I've made it to 10:30. LOL
Did you catch my journal a while back about the eyeball pain? Turns out it wasn't my MS, but dry eye .... you might want to read it and see if perhaps that could be your problem too. The pain in my right eye has definitely improved and almost completely disappeared in the past month since I started lubricating it and using the restasis.
For the ice cream dilemma - try to keep the cold off the roof of your mouth. That seems to be the spot that triggers the sinus pain from the ice cream. Try it and let me know if it works.
I'd rather self-diagnosis, too, sometimes. There's a lot that goes on with MS and sometimes I get a little cavelier about symptoms that need doctor attention, and would rather self diagnosis--hehe! I wish there was a wand like they use in Star Trek that could be bought at Walmart. Then I could wave the wand over my eye or neck to see what the heck is going on, and voila--the exact cause pops up. This kind of device sure would make things easier for those undiagnosed, wouldn't it?
